First of all, I'm really impressed about the amazing job the developper team done. In my opinion LFS_2 is better than GT Legends and other multi-million budget games. Nevertheless, some point needs a little bit of attention, if the developper team wishes a wider user spectrum.

My thought's (in a non-priority order):
  1. Don't search a publisher! Sounds crazy? Sure, BUT that makes you special! Underline that you are a small team that developpes on a cutting edge level. You need definetly more attention, more commentatorships. Perhabs are other journalists who are not reporting for the gaming sector but for the economy-sector interested to write some lines about the game and the industry...you need that because your ideas are good (ex. international championchip) but you have to less international-players
  2. Surround (doesn't work obviously on my pc...)
  3. How can I say, a little bit more realistic damage-model (200 with Fox in a wall is not really a handicap to move on). With parts (glass/chassis) who can fall onto the track and damage maybe the tyres of other cars...maybe also oil on the track...
  4. 24 hours (LeMans?) racing => night and day
  5. Rain (some parts perhabs like a little-sea => rally) and snow (and some ice)
  6. Championchip: Perhabs a real championchip. I mean with prices (the winner can send 5 licence keys to his friend, the 2nd 3 keys...etc.). Perhabs I didn't saw this point. I own this game since yesterday, so sorry about that.
  7. Street race with non-racing cars (pls don't bashing me ^^)
  8. Where are the developpers? I can't find the heroes on the website...^^
That's it for the moment. Again, I love this game. It works simply. Good FPS, no delays on server, I'm just impressed

hi! i mostly agree with you: i was also really impressed of this sim...actually is the first game i've ever bought and it's the first racing game that i found so damn realistic to be really called "sim". Also other friends of mine that i made them buy LFS, consider it a real sim...all my friends with a ps2 says it's even much better than GT4 (only at phisics).

let me say that some things you mentioned are scheduled for S3 and with reason -> they require a lot of time to be implemented! but i agree about some other points: advertisement -> yes it's really needed BUT it's very time consuming and it steal time to developing, on this point i think WE must do something, spreading the word as much as possible either IRL and on the net.

i laso think that maybe it would be better if they plan more small releases between S2 and S3, for many reasons: they can smooth the effort of giving new features and tuning them up with users feedback, maybe they can plan another "licensed release" (i mean one that we must pay for) to increase their budget -> they really deserve it!
also some features require little time to be implemented like the day-night transition is very fast, suspension and engine break on crashes, also free-run and an initial-d like track would be good to put into an S2.5 release...wel the latter point is a bit controversed, but i think that while keeping focused on the core spirit of LFS ("serious" online sim racing), they should also open to a wider audience e.g. drifters are sometimes considered bad guys, but until they drift on a drift server, why don't embrace this kind of competition? also drag races (i don't like it) but why don't insert them into lfsworld statistics?

so my suggestion are: more advertisement (also from us), more smaller releases, wider audience.

yes we have a dream that became reality (S2) and as soon we got it we started another dream (S3)

first of all devs THANKS! second take your deserved break and refuel your strength, in the meantime let us dream more

I would do more advertisement if I would get something, an incentive. Not money but a licence to present (christmas is coming soon ). If I can get 5 new (pay-)member than I get a free licence to give away (and not using for myself, so you have a positive cause free user more in the community). The new members have to note my user-id down during the registration process.

The best promoter should be able to eternalisethemself. In exemple his name on the start place (1. underline, his name; 2. underline, an other name; etc) on a specific track.

I think my (admittedly poorly conceived) ideas cost nearly nothing and achieve in a simple way the desired effect....

Other ideas?
