A question to the developers to be able to create a future event
Hello everyone, I have seen that in the new South city we will have a football stadium, so I would like to ask if this football stadium will have access and if it will be possible to create events there?

The idea will be to create a kind of race of champions in 2025 (I'm talking about November and maybe also December 2025)

We want to create an event like this

Man this is really good.

I like that idea. Smile

But the stadium is very low poly and would require a fair amount of time to make it useable. So there's no plans to develop it further, I'm afraid. Frown
shame
I'm not suggesting adding more to delay the release, but as a relatively simple thought for the future...

As it's completely enclosed, I wonder if it would be better to have a tiny 'track area' that is just a stadium and nothing else? The same kind of idea as Layout Square, but enclosed instead of open. Because then the frame rate would be as high as possible, instead of having an entire city behind the walls, that you can't see anyway.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't object culling optimise the (theoretically accessible) stadium environment?

I would like that. An added plus for that stadium would be that it would create an easier possibility to add simple track configurations (that probably would not even really work otherwise in South City), inside that stadium, if needed in the future.

Nascar has a good example about this: its first race for previous seasons has been 0.25 mile oval with no pit stop possibilities which is held inside a stadium at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. I could see a possibility of that being a seperate track configuration located inside that stadium in the future. Especially as I don't really see a place for an oval track in South City otherwise.

So, I personally could see a possibility of it being actually more like an Autocross, rather than Layout Square. Meaning that stadium would not contain closed circuits, but there would still be a possibility for it to have somewhat different track configurations inside it always available.
I think that the idea of a separate stadium is nice, but a stadium part of a large zone for open track layout purpose is also excellent.
Just my 2 cents and from my side not a request at all.
Agreed! A tiny track config of an enclosed stadium could facilitate not just ROC style events but also SBTV's yearly Soccar event, or even drift tournaments. If the stadium itself has solid barriers around then there will be zero need to build one from slabs and walls. Plus, the atmosphere would be way more immersive and realistic over lyt objects. How detailed the stadium is up to you guys but I doubt it needs to be that high poly as broadcast or mpr cameras wouldn't be zooming into a bench seat

It doesn't need a new world environment either, just maybe using the LA base world and having config 4(LA4X) with just a stadium in the middle of the grid. Frame rate would be epic Na-na But as you mentioned earlier the priority would be the existing update package... so these stadium suggestions and everything else can just be considerations for minor follow-up updates
