The online racing simulator
it's happening, before GTA 6 i hope so Did I Say That?
Now i'm even more hyped. The difference is so massive!
I think the progress of the LFS is incredible, and if you don't think it's bad, I'd like to give you a free suggestion. Since Kyoto is in Japan and you're having this map expansion and there are mountainous figures in the background, could you think about putting in a mountainous, difficult and extremely dangerous Touge track (like Shomaru, Irohazaka, Usui Pass, etc.)?
Hi Eric, if you see this, can you please add a small "parking" section to westhill near pits on this road where the tire marks are please? It would be a nice detail totally not need it for drifting Big grin

Quote from Eric :I've updated Aston, Westhill, Blackwood, South City, Fern Bay and Autocross...

I have a question that I'm very curious about. Some cars, such as the FZ50, do not have very detailed interior modeling. Will you do a separate study on these tools?

Frankly, will all vehicles undergo a change like the RB4?
Would be wonderful to not turn this nice thread into a feature request flood.
Could we get the top down maps of the remaining updated tracks, please? As a long-time player, it's really interesting to compare the differences.
Quote from Eric :I've updated Aston, Westhill, Blackwood, South City, Fern Bay and Autocross since the last progress reports. These updates have mainly been kerb, texture, config, additional modelling, lighting and bug fixes.

I've also worked on 2 other tracks but these won't be released in the upcoming graphical update.

Me as being a nerd upcoming means happening soon so did just eric leak that the graphics update is just around the corner? my speculations :DDD
Around the corner, maybe...but you do not know the timeframe Big grin
Anyway, seeing how splendid the updated tracks look, I hope they can release the thing quite soon ! Even if that means some probable bugfixing for sometimes (not the most exciting part for a dev), this will give Eric some times after to be spent on the crazy Fern Bay (do you imagine the potential result ? Ya right ), Bancroft and Fairfield Petals

By merging the current tyre physics into the new development version (DX11, multithreading, 1000 Hz engine, better graphics) we can get the updated version sooner, while the new tyre physics can be added later on. Smile

As far as I understand from the article I read, tire physics will be updated first.
You are understanding it wrong

Just in case Eric is reading this, maybe the updated South City could do without the roundabout circled in blue here, better for racing layouts.

Navigating roundabouts is pretty awkward in racing situations judging by my experiences with the ones in Blackwood and Westhill.

Both games kinda delayed, the only difference is the outcome. oof
Additional goodie: An AI race in the new environment?
An additional goodie would be a new video with a simple 3 lap race (or something similar) with a few AIs and a new track or layout? Smile I would be happy... and probably one or two people here would be too. In the evening or at night would also be nice, of course... but sunshine is fine too. Wink
Quote from RealistAdam :As far as I understand from the article I read, tire physics will be updated...

That is incorrect. Previously the idea was to release everything in one go, Tires and graphics/map updates. But the tires are taking more time, while all the other changes are nearing completion. There for they went trough the effort to re-install the old "retro tires" which is in the current release of LFS into the new version with graphics/map updates.

So the next thing they release will be new graphics/map updates + old tire physics.
Nice! One of the few things I m looking forward to for the next year!

Here is the complete set of tracks that have changed significantly.

New versions:

Old versions:

Other tracks (BL/FE/WE/RO/LA) have not changed significantly. Changes are mostly fixes, details and textures updated for the new lighting and shadow system, so I have not generated 2D bitmaps for them.

New Westhill included for comparison with new Kyoto:

But Scawen, Eric I thought that at Christmas we tell the truth.
