The game is really good! I’ve been playing the pirated version since I was a kid—yeah, I admit it—because I used to watch my favorite YouTuber and always wanted to play it. But now I play on an official LFS S3 account. The reason I played the pirated version back then was because of the crazy prices. I know the game isn’t made by a big company, and they need to cover expenses to keep improving it.

But the main currency for the game is super expensive, and that makes it hard for people in other countries to buy it. For example, I’m from Brazil, and the cost of the game is about 10% of the minimum wage here. Meanwhile, in the UK, it’s only about 0.90% of their minimum wage.

That’s just how it is in my country. I think having a fixed price is fair, but a few months ago, it was much cheaper. I guess the price went up because the Brazilian Real (R$) dropped in value.

If you have S3 why posting using alt demo account?

Anyway. No one can predict fluctuations in global currency and as such constantly changing game prices is not practical. Using any of the 4 countries engaged in conflict now for example, with the crazy dollar rate LFS would be like 10 cents by the end of this decade

The developers chose not to go down the Steam route, and thats respectable to keep it privatised and independant. Also means there isn't someone (or a bot) constantly watching currency rates and adjusting. It's what it is.

Save up through hard work and you'll be able to buy almost anything you want. No one bargains at work for higher salary, you only put more effort in.

Edit: Reminded me of the price bands. You could request for your country to move into lower price band.

Im from argentina, and scawen was very kind to review the price band for my country, it was over brazil, i know that brazil faced some devaluation, but even then i think the price for what is on the table is alright. Mind if you are pacient and put many hours you can buy in stages to reach S3 in 3 months. For example i buy on steam 2-3 times a year but i charge what i can spare each month. Though economies, i feel you mate.
