Toyota Corolla E210 1.8hybrid
Hello Smile

I started working on a toyota corolla, a family sedan whose design I liked very much. I preferred the 1.8 hybrid version of this model. I wasn't sure whether it should be all electric or petrol, but the fact that lfs didn't put a gear option for electric vehicles forced me to do petrol. Anyway, I have progressed a lot for now and I think the mode is 80% finished. Feel free to share your comments and suggestions with me.

what do you mean "gear option for electric vehicles"? you can have electric car in LFS
Quote from superlame :what do you mean "gear option for electric vehicles"? you can have electric car...

Yes, but electric cars have a single gear ratio, so it's not nice to have a single gear in a car made for cruising like this.I prefer to use a quiet exhaust instead. also with the /light extra on command the indicator type will change like irl Smile
hello

I have accelerated the work for the interior and I want to share them with you.

You did an amazing job on this, especially on the interior! It's clear to see you are improving, keep up the good work man.

For your consideration, I attached a screenshot of some sound values. I can explain my thinking on them:

Tone variation - Set as 0.99, engine will sound less strong at low rpm
Tail mix - set 0.45, creates more dimension to the sound without harming quality. Makes it feel real (must use headphones)
Exhaust volume - thought 1.0 is too quiet, can be a bit louder
Cockpit muffling - set as 0.93, these cars are built quite good on the inside, comfortable sound cancelling
Air intake muffler - set 0.9 and volume 0.8. Was too much before on the inside imo

Well done Smile, I respect your effort a lot especially in the modeling. Doing something like from scratch isn't easy and takes a lot of work.

Having owned both a 2016 iM with this engine, and a 2021 corolla with the 2.0, some notes:

The new chassis has little/no sound deadening, and the muffler is not crazy quiet even if it is a normal muffler, so the 1.8 should be louder.

Interior is good.

Handling is pretty good, if a bit understeery (i've had the tail slip out once on me irl)

GR next? Big grin
