The online racing simulator
Quote from superlame :Lets goo! Can't wait to try it.. I am wondering - how are the skoda auto testing...

Screenshots and videos, the quality check is mainly about design and logo use. First time I was slightly afraid, because cars are reviewed by a professional designer and my amateur 3D works are far behind professional game models, which Škoda Motorsport occasionally posts on social networks, but all went smoothly at the end Smile

About the quality of physics, players will have to trust to my research Big grin The IRL car had almost fully adjustable geometry, so it will be mainly about personal setups. Of course, parameters, which are not adjustable follow the IRL specification (realistic physics is my first modding priority). My plan is to release the car for public testing as soon as I will get an approval from Škoda and then tune the default setups a little more after I gather some feedback from players. Currently there are four default setups: asphalt rally, gravel rallycross, racing with slick tires and raid for rough terrain and jumps. All are fun to drive, but will have to consult few details with more experienced drivers, because I am not fast enough Big grin Would like to thank to people from LFS Rally Community, for the best testing layouts Smile
This is the absolute benchmark for quality! Especially because everything is made from the ground up, based on actual research.

Maybe it's time for me to rebuild my first-car shitbox in LFS Uhmm
Thanks for support Smile

The licensed Škoda Felicia Kit Car is finally released for public testing and I have added a skin template in the ORA format (can be opened in GIMP and other free graphic software), which enables to easily create racing skins. The template is suitable for beginners. It includes transparent shading and dirty layers for a realistic look and four default color schemes (in the picture) Smile

Kit Car update: added a new engine sound (previous was accidentaly XFG GTR default sound). Fixed taillights triangle rotation bug and optimized windshield shading. Adjusted brakes and a handbrake according to tests with LFS Rally Community layouts. Reverted caster angle from "better feedback" to a more realistic value. Added various homologated final drive ratios to default setups.

Recalculated steering angles and ratios. Players who use a gaming steering wheel with at least 900° lock to lock, can enjoy an exact IRL steering ratio, for a realistic rally experience Smile

For players who would like to create custom setups with realistic gearbox variants all the data can be found here: https://historicdb.fia.com/sites/default/files/car_attachment/1601046601/homologation_form_number_5551_group_a.pdf
Amazing work with this mod, well done and thanks! Lots of fun.
Fantastic job! Very nice car, fun to drive. It has a soul! Smile

Today we gonna use this car as a circuit racer in South City,it's pretty much a less powered XFR in terms or car type and handling. Join to race or just follow the action via livestream, race info and links to livestream in the event's info thread: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/110842-354th-RTFR
The attached RTFR promo skin is public and free for use.

Regarding car,it was quite rollhappy, even more than XFR when running R2 front tyres, some say it's because of relativelly high center of gravity, some say it's because the LFS slicks are too sticky. Not sure,if adjustments needed. Shrug Also I'm not sure if live adjustable brakes/antiroll is correct with this car, however if you have info that it was possible for real car, then ignore this.

However I have one improvement suggestion - on rallycross config it would be better to have the 4th coloring option only for the light covers (instead of them being colored together with bumpers).
Quoting stuchlo's mod description:

Quote :To be more versatile for LFS players, all tire compounds are allowed for personal setups, however, slicks should be used only in a combination with stiffened and lowered setups to prevent rolling the car.

Thanks for the video and for the feedback Smile Unfortunately, the mod is not optimal for hard track as tire size is optimized mainly for rally and rallycross use. The IRL car used R15 for dirt and R17 wheels for tarmac, but unfortunately the current mod system does not allow more wheel sizes per one mod. The center of gravity should be realistic. Many mods have center too low to get better handling, but I prefer realism over handling. According to my sources, the IRL car had live adjustable braks and antiroll. Despite smaller engine, it was a professional state of the art rally car back in the day.

Anyway, I hope drivers had fun despite tire issues. Maybe I should remove slicks in the future.

Can't speak for all,but with race setup (R3 fronts) it was a bit challenging, but not really that bad,I had couple hairy moments when on full cornering suddenly inside lifted, but I survived despite NGT class cars have never been my speciality. I guess with racing config available also racing tyres should stay. And since attendance was so high (car will get in top5 in all time highest average attendance chart),it should make a return to RTFR in year or 2.
I didn't find it to be that much of an issue either, but then again i was consciously trying to drive in a way that would prevent it.

In quali where you're pushing a lot and using softer tyres it was very easy to do though, off walls, on bumps, kerbs.

I uploaded the race setup if anybody wants to give it a go.
