Yes I was talking about real cars, my original point was lots of race cars have paddle shift - but I foolishly didn't think about the cockpit models in LFS which all show the gear stick - so it's a moot point .

If you don't like real life H-shifters in racing cars then you've not had a good one, and spent the time getting it right for you. Paddle Shifters are for girls. Oh, well that's that stereotype proved now.

They might be 'faster' and they might be 'cooler' but they also take a lot of the skills (and opportunities for mistakes) out of racing - then people complain that F1 is boring, but don't want semi-auto gearboxes banned. Some people just have too few braincells.

i will never get how removing an option will be an improvement to the game. it's just about forcing one's own view of racing lfs onto other racers.

no one needs to drive with these options turned on and it's not faster if you use them. so why bother how others like to race lfs?

Just one more thought: wouldn't a proper rev limiter do basically the same as throttle cut? Although it is for different purpose but the outcome is basically the same = the engine doesn't rev to 15k...? And more realistic

I meant BOTH RL and game versions. Try the Subaru H gates - ridiculously light in effort and absolutely NO feel. I've tried truck gearboxes that provide more feedback on which gear I'm in. H gates as good as the Honda's are increasingly rare these days.

Most of my experience is with current 200AUD FFB systems, not your $20,000 units. If it's as good as claimed, please donate to my Force Dynamics fund.

BTW, I enjoy practicing proper clutch control and rev matching IRL.
