Brakes are funny with separate pedal axis
Hey i just got to borrow my friends old MS Sidewinder FF wheel, and wow what a difference from driving with my mouse!
There's just one problem tho... when i want to use the separate pedal axis thing, the brake in LFS just goes nuts...
The brakes dont respond till i've pressed down the pedal about 50 %, and then i press two mm more im at full brake... How do i solve this? its irritating driving with throttle and brake on the same axis...
BTW, i did set the pedals to separate axis in the sidewinder control panel...
Recalibrate it in the Windows Control Panel and the LFS Controllers. That should sort it.

If not, then I'd hazard a guess that the pedal maybe slightly broken (dirty pot?). You could try using DXTweak to see if it has any effect.
Well, since u cant calibrate the sidewinder wheels when u have the sidewinders drivers installed that cant be the problem.
Anyway, it works just fine when i use the pedals on the same axis, so theres nothing wring with the pedals either.
good guesses tho
Ill try DXtweak as soon as i get home! thnx for the tip!
You sure they weren't just miscalibrated in LFS? Make sure you have the calibration lock turned off when setting up the controller.
Had the same issue. Installing DXTweak2 did the trick for me.

EDIT and using it, of course
