Are you referring to the not so well known 'Batty' brothers who play county cricket in this country, or are you just saying that anyone who likes cricket is batty?

Just inquiring as a) i wouldn't expect non cricket fans to have heard of either of the 'Batty' brothers and b) not all cricket fans are batty, just the vast majority.

Batty because you use bats in cricket (though I enjoy calling them raquets or clubs in front of cricketers, just like I enjoy calling karts go-karts in front of karters). No reference to batty people or the Batty people.

Hehehe at first i thought that may have been what you meant, but dismissed it as being too crude for you . Although implying that all cricket fans are batty would probably be more crude now i come to think about it.

I like the police around, in fact, because of the tip offs my mum has given the police about the many drug dealers around here, there are more plods patroling the area and the area now feels safer
