Colds / Flu are directly related to general health, diet and excersize, when I was an unhealthy mess I used to get colds regularly, but since I have gotten health I havent had one (famous last words).
I swear by vitamins, fresh fruit / veg, excersize and plenty of water, at least 2 litres a day (or at least enough that your pee goes clear ), then you wont get colds .
It's just me bleating on about health, I bore the tits off everybody with it, but if you had the struggle I had, I was 23 stone, I am now 15 stone, so I have lost 8 stone, thats 112lbs or 51kg, you'd probably be the same
I've got to say this is actually true. Since starting on my health trip, I actually feel much better (bar the current sleep problem). More swimming, fewer pizza's, and less coke and coffee does wonders It's not like I was fat, but I was very unfit
Trust me, you can get away with a crap diet in your teens, but as soon as you stop growing significantly, you're stuffed It's just started to hit me at 20 - especially since I spend most of my life sat on my beautiful arse
lol, someone else said that to me the other day; and it's still made me chuckle again
Thats not a bad weight but your weight doesnt really determine whether your diet is good or bad. Its whether you are giving youbody enough vitamins and minerals for it to fight bacteria and viruses. Most important thing is to eat the right food that will keep your immune system in tip top shape. I myself eat a lot of garlic and onion and these two are number one for immune system strength, I make myself a salad with raw onions and then maybe a toast on which i fresh squeeze some raw garlic mhmhmhmh
I also eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and i havent been ill for about 6 years untill January this year. I was going through a busy time with group projects at uni and i wasnt getting enough sleep and proper food and this lasted about 4 weeks. My sleep deprevation was severe as i would only have 10 hours sleep in 5 days which totaly screwed me up and after the project was handed in my body collapsed and i fell ill with quite a severe flu and i needed antibiotics to fight it. Took 3 weeks for it to go. During that time i would only eat those horrid tesco sandwitches, few pizzas, chips and so on...
Body just cannot cope with all that shite, it needs its supply of vitamins and minerals for self repair and maintenance.
Now my typical day starts with a glass of orange juice, a bowl of Musli and maybe a joghurt. Lunch some light snack, a sarnie with lettuce tomatoes and quorn. Evening I make myself fresh salad consisting of lettuce, tomantoes, cucumber, radish, some onion on which i then pour a vinergar dressing.
Me too, didn't get one last year though and still managed to avoid it
My only problem with eating more healthily (is that a word...hmmm), is that i'm the pickiest eater on the planet!, but we'll see how it goes once I start Uni, i'll see if I can get more swimming in again also - aint done that for a few years.
I do enjoy cycling though, so I do that quite regularly
i only get a cold every winter usually once for 2 weeks, man it does p*** me off lol, my nose a bit stuffy at night but seems to be ok now, i guess a sneak attack is coming lol
