Quote from Dibblah :Okay, so not everyone has time to read through all the threads to see what is 'official'. Is this too stalkerish:

Nah, I check Scawen's new posts every week or two to see if there's anything really interesting that I've missed (which there often is....).
There needs to be an announcements forum where only the devs can post. The test patch forum is strictly for test patch stuff... I'd much rather have an announcements section where the devs can post valuable news regarding the game.... Then all you would do is subscribe to that forum and violla.... you get email notifications.

How about www.liveforspeed.net ? It's worked so far
Well that is only for "BIG" news. But I guess it works if a new full patch is out or whatever. But yeah, there should be an RSS feed on the LFS.net site, definitely.

I actually quite like the fact that many of the changes come as a complete surprise.. or even if I know bits are coming, when they land they're always better than anticipated. For months, we knew we were going to get improved tyre physics.. but when the physics arrived, they were glued to a BMW Sauber F1.06 as well. Whether you love or hate the BF1, you have to admit that it was an amazing day when the patch arrived.

I vote for keeping the surprises. I like nice surprises.

But this would make big surprises smaller.. we'd lose the edge off that thing that rocks our world.
Well yeah RSS feed is still a surprise. I think maybe the thread's title mixes our thoughts up. "Keeping up with Development", I thought he meant he just wanted to know when patches come out, and get notifications. The LFS Newsletter doesn't work, it is always late or emails are never sent, and an RSS feed would just notify you of something new. Either way, it is always a surprise. Maybe you thought he meant some kind of journal that the devs would tell what is coming in the future? I would say no to that of course, surprises are how the devs manage their "big news". So having a better newsletter, rss feed, or whatever, it would all be the same thing as visiting the site and finding out.... except the RSS or newsletter would give you all the info as soon as possible, and you wouldn't be getting any late news of the cool new patch or surprise
So you are talking about progress reports? We haven't got any since the S2 alpha got released...? Also about the announcements, what announcements?
? Blah you take me out of context, or whatever that expression is . Stop drying to feed me candy, I will not jump in your van mister!!!

= progress reports?

= progress reports? LFS.net doesn't really change unless there is something to tell about

Just jump in, I know you want to

I'm totally lost. What do you actually want? A rss feed of Scawen's posts? A site which gets updated by the devs post but it should not be the LFS.net? But they are not (called) progress reports, but still something about LFS?

Now, come in, your mommy sent me

The devs post news if there is something interesting to mention; If there is nothing interesting to mention, they do not post news. Easy as that
