damn windows... i had to reinstall my xp couz of sum weird crashes after the direct x sdk install, so i dit it.

all was workin fine, so i unlocked lfs.

damn fookin windows crashed again...

reinstall needed, unlocking again...

again crash :/ i know why there is a limit of 2 unlocks per month, but is there a chance to set that to 4 unlocks?

in my case that unlocks were unlucks lol and now i cant play s2 until 1st of september, that sux massive

no chance to unlock it now? i dont wanna wait few days...

ask te devs for unlocks. And september first is a long way off(Friday) without LFS.

Yes, it really is!

btw.. never unlock LFS until you are 100% positive that everything is working; no need to unlock everytime it gets unlocked from some software update

i mean.. its not like you have to unlock LFS everytime some installation or something unlocks it.. not until you are sure that it works anyway; that goes for all programs really

No you don't have to buy a new license, you just need a new unlock.
Every month you automatically get an new unlock, with a maximum of two at all times.
If you email the devs they will probably give you an extra unlock so you don't have to wait for the next month.

I have installed LFS on my D partition, if i format my OS (C) partition, do i need to unlock lfs again?

Else i'll make a ghost image of my C drive after a clean format & unlock so i'll never have to bother about unlocking again!

No

AFAIK formatting your OS partition will mean you DO need to unlock LFS again, despite the fact that LFS isn't actually residing on it. I THINK it checks the time that Windows was installed, and if it doesn't match, it will require another unlock. Every time I have formatted Windows LFS has needed unlocking again.

when i wiped my pc and re-installed Windows, i copied my "custom" copy of LFS to my MP3 player, then after i re-installed windows i copied it back across and moved it across multiple hard-disks, yet it still kept unlocked

sometimes it stays unlocked sometimes it doesnt ... no idea why though

your best bet at keeping it unlocked is with a cloned installation of windows
