Hi,
I have recently started using a force feedback shifter for LFS. I think its great, but theres one thing that bothers me - Its slower. In the LX4 im a 10th of a second slower on the drag strip.
I can understand that when shifting I'm in neutral for a split second which will slow me down a bit. However the main loss in time appears to come from the auto clutch (I dont have 3 pedals). When I shift the clutch blips twice instead of just once when I use sequential shifting. Ive tried turning off "throttle blip on down shift" and it still blips twice. Is there any way to combat this problem.
Any chance of a dev answer too (I know im pushing my luck as you replied to my other thread ), perhaps you could explain what the auto clutch is doing? Perhaps with the massive increase in people using shifters (after ghostve's FF shifter) it may be worth looking into how to making the time penalty a bit less.
