NASCAR - 2 drivers fight
I found this clip http://atvs.vg.no/player/player.php?id=5285 on a Norwegian web site.
Michael Sinko and Don Saint Dennis, or how it spelled, fight...
Does anyone have any longer clips then what this web site shows??
It would be really cool to be able to see the bump/crash which caused this blowup...
lol... i like the drop kick through the window! illepall

Yeah, thats a kickarse kick... The front windshield is, I think, in very think plastic... So it bursted easy... And I can really understand why he acted the way he did, but, I would be more understandable of the fight if I could see what caused it...

Heres another video I like alot.

I see alot of people do that in LFS too...
Some people take it really personal...

Actually those modifieds don't have a windshield, which would explain how the kick worked

It looked like very thin plastic...
Accturally, where he jumpkicks, there arent any, but on the right side of the car, it looks like plastic windshield..

Yep, you're correct, I don't know why that is though, and I'm not really a follower of NASCAR at all, so I'm the wrong person to ask lol
i heard recently after a race, one driver rammed another driver's car. lol.

if they added this to LFS, I'd play on public servers all day long

NASCAR is "personal" so I guess ramming someone after finish would be really bad for the rammer...

it would be really cool to have NASCAR on LFS.. Also Indycar... But, then again, they are probably licensed..... I do alot of BF1/KY Oval laps because of the speed, but I think it would be more fun with a NASCAR or an Indycar...

I think he ment something else
to bad the drop kick just landed him on the steering wheel, he is bound the be suspened from racing.
One of the few places(ARCA SERIES)you still see lots of drivers using Hoosier Racing tires.

quick question, wth are the flaps that fly up when the car is going backwards? are they just basically a safety thing?
Quote from DeKo :quick question, wth are the flaps that fly up when the car is going backwards? are they just basically a safety thing?

I *think* it to try and slow the car down a little bit more with wind resistance when going backwards to prevent back and neck injures.

Like I said, I think thats why..not 100% sure.

From what I understand, there is an air pressure buildup within the cockpit which helps the cars get airborne when going backwards/sideways. The flaps open up and allow some of the air pressure to escape to keep the car from getting airborne. Doesn't always work, though. I'll have to check on that as I'm quite possible way off the mark, here. (One would wonder why the drivers side window wouldn't allow air to escape, too?)

[EDIT] Whoops, sorry, not an air pressure buildup in the cockpit. What happens around 140 degrees of rotation, the car's profile creates a crude wing shape. The air over the car moves quicker than that under the car, creating a low pressure zone. The roof flaps are sucked open by the low pressure above the roof, and disrupt the airflow so that the lift generated by the lower pressure is reduced or eliminated.
Yes, those flaps are what Maggot said, the second time. They're intended to reduce lift (i.e., keep the car on the ground) when the car is moving backwards after a spin. In the video you can probably see how light Edwards's car is at the rear when it rotates.
