As I stated at the time, I really doubt you will see this setting used on many public servers as its the sort of thing used in leagues etc.

Both utterly pointless options that in no way creates this supposed 'fair and equal' utopia that people dream about.

I think its a perfectly valid idea. Being one who flies combat flight sims (such as LOMAC), its actually GOOD when a view or 'aids' can be locked down. For example, our flight squadron servers are always locked to cockpit view only and always locked to advanced radar mode. For some people, its more enjoyable that way.
