My new bike (now with pics :))
Sold the "girlie" CBR, for something a bit more manly , a 1000c V-Twin

Dan,

Edit, managed to take some piccies of it today

Can't say i like the look of it but im sure its a bucket load of fun
I think its a "marmite" bike, love it or hate it, I love the understated looks, certainly not as in-your-face as my CBR, and the massive bark from the engine when you gun it .

Plus, its a heck of a lot more comfortable for my old bones to ride.

Dan,
Wow. It looks great. Looks like a cross between a cruiser and a superbike.

That bike in the background looks like it's jumping out of the window hehe.
very nice bike! now all you have to do is swap out that painted can for a titanium one, and i will be even more jealous than i already am..lol
that is a sweet bike there..... marmite bike lol! hmhmhm marmite!
Nice bike Danowat, it looks a lot more stylish than the CBR. But I though you were going to buy a Hayabusa, why did you buy this one instead?
You need to change your avatar now danowat.
Come on you going for a tourer you pussy come over to the dark and s**t your pants with a suzuki k6 just for the motor now that is a beast on wheels or the new CBR1000 alot better then it's younger bother and kick ass out of most of the more powerful bikes in it's range

WOW. What the hell is this. Futuristic bike thing.

Lots of info here, if you're going to do any mods.
The Falco forum recently got wiped out with a server crash, but apparently the old posts'll be back for you to search soon enough.
Looks like a crotch rocket for people who want to see their 30th birthday.

Hardly. illepall

It's not quite a Honda RC51 or Aprilia RSV1000, but it's pretty damn close. I don't see how you see a cruiser there. Maybe because it's not fully faired? There's a huge difference between a cruiser and a naked sportbike.
They were marketed as a "Sports Tourer", but they are way more sports than tourer, its basically a RSV Mille with a half fairing, pretty sure the whole front end is Mille, just the rear end is difference.

Dan,

There you go then.
According to the people who made the bike, I am right. The End.

When you say cruiser, people think Harleys But you meant tourer I'm sure....

Generally Sport Tourers are fully faired with rather large engines (upwards of 1000cc), but the true difference between a Sport Tourer and a Naked Sportbike is long term comfort and bags (hard or soft). Sport Tourers are also generally heavier so that they ride smoother, and are thus more comfortable.

Yes I meant tourer.

Wow - that was quick.

Gonna guzzle fuel compared with the CBR600 though.

A photo doesn't do those bikes justice if you ask me. You only notice all the subtle little styling on them when you see them up close and personal.
NOW we're talking!!

That'll sound sweet on full throttle, probably handle very nicely to.
Dead jealous!!!

Are you going to slip on some nice booming end cans?
As V-Twins sound glorious when they've got them!!

Watch those 1st gear roll on wheelies too HeHeHe.
(No need for dumping the clutch here!)

Have FUN
Gonna leave it standard for a while, at least till next summer, fuel consumption isnt a massive problem as I dont ride it that much anyway.

Ahhh.....yes, wheelies, I noticed that on the test ride, note to self, don't open the throttle full in 2nd at slow speeds hehehehe.

Dan,
omfg they destroyed the tuono for '06 it's ugly!!!

sweet ride, the sl1000 : >

happy riding
Sexy bike. I really am going to have to get my licence one of these days and get riding....I've wanted to for years but never got around to it...
should ahve got a tuono,

on the same note, ive just got my winter hack, a gpz500s for 200 quid.
