I have just got a very serious bug 
What I did:
I pitted just before the race started (my car was already in the grid), and I left the pits after some tenths, because I only wanted to look if I was using the right setup.
What happened:
Then the race started and it showed me only the pit background image, the chat and the pings. My car was apparently on the track, I could hear my engine rev etc.
After that, I pitted again because I didnt want to screw the race for the others. When I pitted out, it was gone, until I changed the camera, which showed (again) only the pit bg, the chat and the ping bars.
Not even joining the spectator mode could fix that, I was looking into a blue wall there (I made a custom bg, and Im using that one as bg for almost all menus, thus I cant be 100% sure if it was really the pitmenu bg showing up, but I think so.)
It could have also been the screen that shows up just before the race starts.
After you leave the pits it's ok until you change the camera or spectate. Shift-U works though.
After joining the session out of the spectator mode, the bug is there again.
