Have you got an Ident Key from LFS World and added it to page.class.php file as described on page 5 of the Manual in the documentatiion folder?

Ahh, i thought that was purely for the Premium stats.

Been meaning to sort that out but despite telling me I have credit on my account LFSW also turns around and says i dont, so i've never bothered, not sending more money for it to just ignore whats in there.

I have made a minor change to the setups required file that will decrease the load time a little. The file can downloaded from the first post and the zip file has also been updated with this file.

1) A data field that shows, who has uploaded a set.
2) A data field that shows the LFS Version (something like S2 alpha U), which the set was made for.
3) The possibility to use HTML in the comments of the sets. (or BBCode and maybe even a nice editor at some point in the future).

Thanks for those ideas. I will look into incorporating the first 2 in the next incarnation. The third will be a little more tricky. I have a couple of ideas of my own and will stop the developement on this version and start on a new version with a redesigned database, possibly an install page asking for the parameters to setup the station and more flexibility for using with other racing games (i.e. GTR2, rFactor etc...). I may stick with using phpMyEdit or create my own table generator that will allow for some html tags to be used <b><i><u><font color=>.

This may be a little way off as I have to do some more reading for better CSS, JavaScript (with a litlle AJAX) during my spare time as work would be a little p155ed me learning and creating this when I should be doing other IT stuff

I wish to thank everyone who has contributed to this version and hope you will continue to use it. I will fix any problems should they crop up in the meantime.

what are the stars all about?

1. that's a valid point, we have hungarian servers, bandwidth is not the best for foreign countries
2. so what? isn't a webdesign contest
3. suggestions welcome, but how can someone make a setup easier to find than having all the cars and tracks listed and you only have to click the appropriate field to see all the uploaded setups for the specific combination. if you move the pointer upon one of the mines, it also shows the combo in a tooltip style, so I really don't get your point.

What counts IMHO is the quality of the setups that can be loaded from inferno's site. And here I have to say that they are often hard to drive and only good for hotlapping.

But they are also a good starting point for the creation of own (race) setups. So the setup-field from inferno is really an important part of LFS!

And here's where this really fantastic setup station is needed, in order to share easy-to-drive and long-lasting setups for races.

For those who are able to understand german, I can recommend to take a look at our club's setup station. There are already some nice, non-inferno setups which may be worth a try.

2. to make stg better is not a suggestion, it is a request, by suggestions I meant ideas, constructive ideas

we cannot make something better if we don't have specific ideas, your problems are too general, we could do and change things, but they might make things even worse, so there is no point currently.

Improvement suggestions are always welcome in our forums or at the say what board, if it is a good idea, we will try to implement it.

there have been requests to have the possibility to download all the setups in one zip file, it has been done as well.

obviously only good for hotlapping, as they are WR setups, a fast car is loose, which is hard to drive.
however I completely agree with you, for the general average driver these aren't of much help, but as you also state a good starting point and it isn't hard to adjust a couple of settings to make it last longer and easier to drive ( I always do).

We could have made setup uploading open for the whole community, but that would have only resulted in 100's of crap setups uploaded for each combo and only 4-5 really useful ones.
Nevertheless I still support the idea to give upload rights to people who feel they are creating good and useful setups, but you have to understand that this can only be open for a selected and small number of individuals, who have a good reputation in sim racing/LFS.

I would welcome any volunteers who feel they can contribute to the setupfield in a really positive way, by adding nice setups. drop a pm to me, or a note in our forum and let us know what you could add to setupfield.

a good question, please ask it on the english say what board on our site and Palee or Gergo will answer it, I am not sure about this, I am not the webmaster

but you can easily check by downloading and checking the latest date of the setups included.

If you had read through the post you would have noticed that this is not meant to rival the TeamInferno site it is meant to be an extension to an LFS team site.

1. Team Inferno site is a great site for getting WR setups and is available to all and I use it when ever I am in need of a setup. If the setup does not work for me then I tweak it a little then upload it to my teams setup station for my team mates to share.

2. The Team Setup station is the code for a standalone website to be used by a team or group of individuals to share setups.

Currently in the design stage for the next incarnation and it looks like will be able to add ability to format text in the comments section. It's getting more complicated as I am trying to incorporate the ability to use it with other race sims (e.g. GTR2, rFactor, WTCC).

As I have said before there will be no more developement on this version, including adding extra languages and thanks to all those who have contributed. Including TeamInferno as they had the original idea

I totally agree with you. I think Team Inferno's setup field is fine just as it is now. Let the fast guys upload setups, so everyone knows what he can get from the setup field. And with this setup station an D34N0 new project, there surely will be other sites on the web, where one can download sets for multiple purposes. I guess there will be a healthy competition between those sites , but team inferno's setup site will always be no. 1 for WR-Sets.

@D34N0: I already knew you're working on something new. Just take your time and I'm sure at the end all will be working great. And you can count me in for Beta testing (but maybe an option to import setups from this project will be a good idea ... ).

yea, there seems to be a general problem with the server, as no other server related hungarian LFS sites are working.
should be fixed this evening, hopefully.

I didn't have "crash" problems on inferno's site. Neither my friend using that.
I think no way to make easier.
I always find the setup and i can easily make it better specialised to my driving stlye.
If anybody can't do this, i don't know what he's waiting.
We should be happy cuz we have a place where we can find the best racers setup.
I wanna say A BIG THANKS here to every racer who shared his setup with the communtiy.
