Unlocking LFS2 behind a Http Proxy?
Is it possible to activate LFS behind a http Proxy? Or if not, I have an old Image of WinXP If I can export somehow the information that I already unlocked the game and import it again in my new WinXP install that would be great too.

Is that possilble? It´s the same pc I didn´t even changed the hardware. Same CPU/GPU/RAM/HARDisk and so on..

Anybody here an idea?
Why not just unlock it on your other machine also, since you have 2 unlocks. And an additional unlock every month. No need to transfer stuff only to re-download it.

In the cfg.txt there's an option called "Port". If I remember correctly, the line should read
"Port 80 1"
so LFS uses port 80 to unlock, which should succeed behind any firewall or proxy.
Remember though, I never used it, so I could just have gotten it wrong in my memory.

I am telling you that I can´t unlock it and you are telling me that I should unlock it, are you kidding?

The Problem
--------------------------------------
with a broswer there are no Problems I just set it up to use the Proxyserver.

Browser--> ProxyServer --> internet

But LFS is trying to connect direct to the Internet

LFS --> Internet

That won´t work, I have to tell LFS to use the damn proxyserver. But I can´t.

Nope that won´t work also.

Have somebody the IP of the Masterserver? I could try something else with putty and a root server if I know the Port and IP of the server that LFS need to connect to unlock the game.
Well where I am at university uses a HTTP proxy to connect to the net, and I am able to unlock LFS fine here.

have you actually tried it, because it will use port 80 to unlock it which is what a browser uses, and then it will unlock no problem

Of course I did. The Port that I have to use is 8080 so I tried with "Port 8080 1" also, but still it didn´t work.

That is cool for you, but why are you telling me that? Do you belive I am lying or what is the point? I really tried it, but it doesn´t work for me. I am at the moment at home here I can activate it (DSL6000 no probs at all) but at the Uni every damn Prog is blocked. I even had to use a trick to use xfire.

xfire --> putty--> Proxy --> my Root SErver --> xfire login Server.

I would like to try that with LFS also, but I need the LFS login Server IP and the Port. With some luck it maybe would work. Or is there another way?
