Still can't get listed on the Master Server - Can anyone help?
Hi there.

Woe is me

Here's what I've tried so far in trying to create a DEMO server (not a dedicated one, but one which I create when I play):

I'm running Windows XP SP2 and my host machine is running LFS with an S2 licence..

I've read the guide (thanks, the_angry_angel).

Out of sheer despiration I've completely disabled Windows Fire Wall to eliminate any possibility that the problem is there.

I've configured my router to open ports 63392 and 29339 on both TCP and UDP.

I've tried the IP address at start up as both 'auto' and by inserting my host machine's IP address ...

and I still can't seem to get my host to appear on the master server list.

I've tried to find it using another PC running LFS Demo software. This machine is on the same router as the host machine (but obviously it has a different IP address). This shouldn't be a problem should it? It should still be able to see my other host machine's listing even though the two machines are sharing the same router and ISP, shouldn't it? I hope this isn't the problem 'cos I don't know any other way to check if my host is listed.

Does anyone have any advice and/or suggestions?

Cheers.
You can check the active hosts list on LFS World and see if it appears there.

OK, thanks.

I'll try that.

Are there instances when it would appear on LFS World but not on the master list then?
does any one no how to forward the ports thanks
OK. It appears on LFS World but I can't see it on the Master Server (I've made sure all filters are off and I'm just checking the Demo hosts).

Does that narrow the problem down a bit?

UPDATE:

I'm using PitSpotter and I noticed I'm getting loads and loads of

"Connecting to 127.0.0.1:29999 ... Connect time outs at the DOS prompt.

Not sure if that means anything.

Thanks Jakg.

I did get the settings for my router and LFS from that site - that's how I managed to configure my TCP and UDP settings ... but still no luck I'm afraid .

The good thing is that my host is listed on LFS World but unfortunately not on the Master Server - ho hum .

Maybe I can't see it but others can.

Hey Jakg, if you can spare a moment, could you just have a quick look for me and check if you can see TJRacing listed under the Demo listings (private) on the master server?

Thanks.
