Man this is AMAZING!!! my very 1st racing game i ever played competitively!! I used to go to a mates house and we'd have competitions to see who'd be the fastest !!
The C64 was a computer and still is, yes... But now a days, you refer it to a console and not a fully computer... But yeah, there are computers today that are still running, with the name on the monitor or tower stating "Commodore" :P
There is accturally a game by Accolade called Moto GP.... Same tracks but with motorcycle..... I don't remember where I got it from but it's fun to play, as GPEGA....
Am a huge old games fan...
Digger, Paratrooper, Snake, Lemmings, Indycar - Indianapolis 500, Ikari Warriors, Paperboy, Wonderboy, pacman, aso.... My favorite games
C64 - Ikari warriors, GPEGA
NES - Super Mario Bros
Sega - Ironman Offroad
PC - Digger, GPEGA
I remember having a game on the C64 where you fly a blue bomber plane and trying to bomb buildings while flying from A to B... It's called "Blue ...." something...
oohh... the indy 500
still have, but lost the manual, so I have to rely on the description of the images
Back then it was far too difficult for me (partially because I couldn't speak much english ), but after I played it a few month ago, I recognized what really good sim it was back then ...
DOS-Boot-CDs rock
can anyone mp3 the start melody for this game? I can't do it because of the way my pc changes it's clock speed to play the game.... the sound recorder just get's mullered.....
i love this game, have done since 89, when I was JUST old enuf to play it on easy.
I have the original Floppy disk + the original manual...
The questions that shows up at the beginning, you have to look up the info in the manual and find the right info.. if you get it wrong 3 times, the game closes... I remember doing all questions from the game without the manual... Most of the questions where the same.....
The game rocked back then... I still like it, even though, games today bring alot of joy.... I tried it out first time with a joystick, when my mom and dad bought the IBM 486 SX computer for, at that time, $3,000...
There is also another "version" of the indy 500 where you don't need the manual to open the game...
I really like playing old games... If your lucky and can find it, a game called Digger where the theme melody is "Popcorn", download it... And download a game speeder to decrease the speed of the game.. Playing an OLD game like that on a 25mhz+ gives the game too much speed :P
Our first computer (which we still have, with the game) is not even a 286...
I tried it on a 386 but had no chance in hell to play it, since it went to fast...
