Wow I am impressed and I don't think that is fake.
Wish i had stuff like that =)

Wow looks good, this is something you yourself have worked on/used? I'm curious what kind of hardware is in use? Hydraulic? Electric motor? Did you guys write your own software interface too?

Definitely looks like more fun.

yes, completely self designed from ground up,
2 bhp (1,98 PS) hydraulic actuation, self programmed...
Uses single Houshold outlet 220V / 9A

Roll +/- 20°
Pitch +/- 25°
Drivers weight 130kg+

No static display!
High center of rotation - No parasitic forces!

Programming wasnt that hard as LFS does more than
half the work.

cost: less than FD 301.

Geee - sounds like an advertising, but i dont sell....

WHAT IS THE FUN OF PLAYING LFS HONORABLY DIVOIDED OF A MOTION SIMULATOR???? WHY DONT YOU SELL????
I am impressed...great job
I have a shed... With power & lighting... Your sucessful effort gives me cause for thought ...

Could you by chance post a rough schematic of the design so I can see if it is within the capabilities of my father & brother to build?
I think that someone has to say it: we want more photographs!

more infos will follow... later.

Becky, i can give you rough draft like this:

Minimum 5000 Euro, professional prototyping tools,
a good programmer at hand (erhm, forget this for you...)
and the will to learn a lot and spend more!
otherwise it will just be very disappointing and frustrating.

it took us more than 3 months to get the center of
rotation above the belly, but keep the mechanics
completely underneath - to avoid parasitic forces.
(motion sickness)

So for three months you kept a bucket next to it?
That thing is actually real and working?? What is with the extreme forward/backward tilting and nothing left and right? At one point it looked like the whole thing is crooked.

I thought it was a joke...well I still do so post some more videos and pictures and prove me wrong.
Ya too bad the design look exactly like someone elses.... I was watching discovery channel a few days ago and some dude in his 80's and a major fan of racing sims has created maby the most cheapest retail simulator design. I frogot his name but if you look around on EXN.ca and look on the show daily planet you might find it there...
@ gleetk

Ya better put your flamethrower away, until you come up with something to prove your silly insults. For now you just make yourself look stupid.
If you talk about the acesim - forget it, its way different.

@ the rest

All right, i'l put some more stuff online soon. But please consider, i am not working full time on this. I have two little children too...

I post whenever i have time to take a picture or a video.
Expect more in a couple days.

Attached are some abandoned designs.
