Inspired by that Ford Falcon clip, i put a camera in LFS in the same place..
It's great, you can really see a great similarity beatween the real movie and this one.. Thumbs up for Scawen!!
It's FZR with a bit less tyre pressure than default.

Yeah I was just doing this last night with the FO8. If only the tintops could have axles showing, it would look cooler

Maybe it would have been an even better comparison, if you had chosen the XRR, as there would have been more load (there wasn't visible load in the video) on the front tires...

I guess the sound wouldn't work if you'd record in 0.250x replay speed, would it? Doing that and then speeding up the video can make it look MUCH smoother than recording in realtime. Nicely visible deformation, though

I bet it would look smoother recording it in 0.250 speed, but i don't know how to speed it up later, nor do i have a sofware for that. I just drop the movies in movie maker, i am too lazy..

I just tested with XRR, it's prety much the same as with FZR.. I am not so sure what tyre load means? is it like more weight is distributed to the front tires because of the front engine of the XRR?
Anyway, i may do more movies like this, if anyone else is thinking of doing them, drop it in here..

Exactly that.

Could anybody point me to that Ford Falcon clip that this video is based on! One RL tyre deformation video I saw was taken from this angle, it would look better than just one wheel driving by itself.

Yeah, I somehow missed that; too many tyre deformation videos out there..

i had the same idea, when i saw that clip...

but i used FXR, and a different camera angle. even with default pressures, front tyres flex a lot...
