Firefox 2.0 released
http://www.getfirefox.com

Auto-update for 2.0 doesn't work yet, so just a reminder

Seems to be damn fast, especially back/foward buttons. Faster than 1.5 with Fasterfox.
Using IE here...

IE is only good for uninstalling Allready running 2.0 and it's great
Never used FireFox, maybe will...
IE worked always for me...
I did hear some problems with FireFox...
However those are already solved (probably)
Just installed it over 1.5, and it seems to be much quicker. Great. And most of my extensions from 1.5 still work, so wooohooo.

Thanks for the heads up. IE is crap. IE will always be crap.

I never used! how does it compare to Opera?
I don't know, it's been couple of years since I last time used Opera. But I guess most of the veteran Opera users see it like "Opera > Firefox > IE" thing
Opera is supposed to be the best browser, it has the best support for internet standards, uses least memory, is fastest..

Then again, I myself use Firefox simply because I am so used to it and when I tried Opera some things were done differently and they kept annoying me.
I see it like IE here, and some other stuff I don't know over there...

I like the sound of Firefox 2.0 but i use so many "add-ons" on 1.5, i'm afraid upgrading will break them.
Anyone know if FF 2.0 will support 1.5 addons?

In case they do break, use the extension "Nightly Tester Tools" to "make" them be compatible.
I've been running Firefox nightly builds since 1.0.7 and i've never encountered any extensions fail totally using NTT.

Yes. Opera is better in every way.
Goody, now I can update my beta version of 2.0 that I have been running for what seems like ages
Firefox 2 is definitely faster. I like it, except I miss the 'Read Mail' option.

For any of you that also miss it, here's the add-on for putting it back in.

Serp.
It... is... FAST, I mean, wow, what the hell is this Do you need to feed it steroïds??

Now I can spam even faster!
It is indeed groovy. How do you notice it's faster though, I don't really notice much difference tbh?
Its not much faster, I've been building the nightlys in Linux and Windows for quite a while (about once every month or so) so this isn't nothing new.
I used to use seamonkey, but I think FF2.0 is pretty nice. Slower than seamonkey so far though.

seems a little faster, each build has been getting quicker and quicker, just put most of my extension back in it. Much prefer it to 1.5 with the spelling feature!
opera forever.
used firefox - too slow, eats up too much ressources, and i didnt really like the design
Its the exensions that make firefox strong. Of course it doesnt look nice with the default theme, and it isnt fast aswell. Install FasterFox and Opera is just junk

Also, Opera is not really a good browser for web developers.

I'd say Opera is rFactor, FireFox is LFS and IE is NFS:U STFU!

Uhm. Firefox is alive only thanks to it's extensions (like rFactor is to it's modding). So wouldn't that make Opera = LFS and Firefox = rFactor?

IE isn't even a browser.

Argh! Alt + S shortcut is killing me! It's used for "Post Reply" but now it drops the history menu....
IE 7 here

Firefox eats my arse. I didnt rate it tbh. I prefer IE and always have down..

Why do you prefer IE?, just interested in the reasons....

Normally people just use what they are used to, because switching to something different is very alien to them, and they don't take the time the investigate the different item, instead see it as different, and in their eyes, rubbish
