No matter if you care about online or not, your going to need "online" to unlock. The people who have posted already, really do know what they are doing and saying, just buy an official licence if you want S2 content, and as an added bonus, you even get to have the username you want!

FWIW, neither of those names show up in LFSWorld.

The only place to buy an S2 license is direct from www.lfsshop.net or you can buy a voucher from a localised sales point listed there.

While a lot of people are taking the mick and jumping on the opportunity to make fun of this guy, I really have to extend some sympathies to him, Perhaps he's just seen some screenshots of S2 and thought - I'll have that... and just had a look in ebay, not knowing about the license situation.

What to do is to start the process through ebay for complaining and obtaining a refund, what the seller did was not only illegal on multiple levels, but also highly frowned upon by Ebay.

If you can give me your complaint reference number in IM after this is done - I have a few contacts at Ebay who will be able to speed things up for you.

If you feel there is any reason to distrust someone on Ebay, simply check if they are a known seller and if anyone has left negative comments on them. If so, check what they were as they are usually a one-time thing.
A lot of the sellers on ebay sell thousands of things, it's real easy to check up on someones overal reliability.

Anyway, sorry to hear that someone scammed the OP, that's pretty low.

Obviously this guy has been ripped off here, i guess the only thing we can do is offer him some useful advice.

Scams like these as Jakg pointed out, are pretty common! And because they're so well known, you might be able to get your money back!

Firstly, how did you pay for it? If its PayPAL i think they have some sort of compensation regarding dodgey users scamming!

Or if you payed via Credit card, i think you might still even be able to get your money back, stating you had been scammed but I'm not sure!

And i guess the last option would be a cheque, if you sent a cheque go cancel it immediately!!

If you paid via postal order, well i think you're pretty screwed. Report it to ebay and all the authorities you know, get the phucker hammered.

The key to getting your money back here is to annoying the hell out of the people you used todo the transaction (paypal/bank/cc company)

It's not like it's a well known product such as Microsoft Office so you'd think people would give it a quick google and see what it `costs`.

Can't complain really, it's them sort of people that leave my Dad with some extra pocket money when with a little google could buy the goods from a shop cheaper
