I have now decided.... because no one is going to pay for it anyway.....

I have some hosting available. so i have decided i want to give some away to the needy on LFS.

so who will i give it to? and what is it?

I will give it to practically anybody depending on how much they need it... if it is a team looking to progress. i will give them the hosting. if somebody needs it to host their LFS Mods. Sure they can have it to.... What i wont do is give away space specifically for file hosting.. U can host as much as you want upto space available so long as you have a website with it.

what it is... :

C-Panel hosting with Fantastico!!! (lots of scripts to install for easy website creation and management.... even for the noob..)

i will allow anything from 300mb - 2gb storage space with bandwidth between 2gb - 20gb per month... this would depend on the individual person and their specific requirements.

what you would need:

A reason..... all i ask is that you justify the use.

A Domain Name...... a .com / .org / .net / . co.uk ect domain or a domain with the ability to change the DNS address is what will be needed.... this will cost you anything from $7 to $15 depending where you go to get your domain....

Alternatively you can simply use a FREE Subdomain such as www.mywebspace.atcteam.org which i will provide for you.. and on that you could if you so wished forward to that from www.dot.tk or www.cjb.net ect ect ect...

What about webstats? Since I changed ISPs that's the only thing I miss from the old service. Perhaps I should just bash Tiscali and get them to provide them, since otherwise I'm happy. Oh yeah and they impose a daily 100MB transfer limit... but you've no idea how much your site is using, due to the lack of webstats :doh:

the C-Panel has stats on it.. includes bandwidth, CPU usage, storage space.. ect ect ect. is that what you mean?

Yeah, I have c-panel on my hosting and there are about 15 different stats packages installed including commercial Urchin Stats which is ace.

Presumably this offer is the same.

Yes it is C-Panel 10 with Fantastico.
