and old Driving Force pedals as clutch
Only wished the DFP braking pedal would be heavier, threshold braking while shifting down and blipping the throttle is hard with such a light pedal.

I was wondering if everyone that uses a gaming wheel to play to please post what kind they are using, just to see who has what...

The one I just bought for this game is the Logitech® MOMO® Racing wheel..I haven't gotten it yet, I ordered it today with 2nd day shipping, so I am expecting it on Monday unless UPS delivers on Sunday's..

TSW Sport, circa 1998. (Hmm... what would have prompted the move from TM?) I'm dead serious when I say it feels *exactly* like it did the day I got it. 4 or 5 sets of spec pots - TSW sent me some lever arms that they liked better than the stock ones, though I never had a problem - had one spring retainer break after 5 years, TSW replaced that - never misses a shift - a couple drops of oil every couple years - smooth as buttah.

Every once in a while I call to ask if I should upgrade to this or that. So far they've talked me out of spending money I don't need to a couple of times. They are dead honest about what it is thier products will or won't do. When they say a certain pot will last a year, they mean it.

What more can I say?

I own the red Logitech MOMO Force wheel. Too bad this wheel is discontinued, because it is a great wheel in my opinion. Some people don't care much for the pedals, but mine have held up and I always do proper 'tune ups' about every 4 or 5 months (cleaning, replace springs if needed (stiff r/c springs), etc).

It's always a good idea to make sure your wheel is in proper shape. Otherwise you'll find yourself with problems. Maintain it like an airplane so to speak.

You've got yourself a good wheel coming to your door, and you'll definitely enjoy it in LFS. I know quite a few people that own that black momo wheel and i've tried it myself. It works damn good for anyone really. :up:

DFP, Actlab Pro-pedals + H shifter here.

DFP is great wheel though never used the pedals so cant comment on those.

Indeed it is a great wheel. I have it too, but I'm forced to use the pedals. They work fine for about 6 months, after that all hell breaks loose. I'm thinking about buying Finnmotion pedals.

I use a Logitech MOMO Racing Force for the wheel and along with it some Microsoft Sidewinder FFB (USB) Pedals.

A great combination for an affordable price

I didn't know the ms pedals worked with the momo, I think I'll get that wheel sometime soon then . It's annoying having to open up my momo pedals few weeks.

Logitech Momo Force. 3 years old and maintenanced yearly to keep it going. I use the squash ball under my brake pedal.

Oh well, here we go again. DFP, Frex three pedal set with SimClutch+ and Frex Hshift+ shifter

it's a constant evolution ATM but i'm using a DFP @ 720 with an old sidewinder pedalset making do for the clutch, (highly recomended, clutch use that is!) although i'm planning to convert a FF joystick for shifter use and build a custom pedal box from car spares! LFS is great for messing about with your controllers so you can get them exactly as you want 'em.

If anybody asked me what wheel to go for id always recomend the DFP. seems logitech are still having pedal life issues tho', hence i'm planning ahead and building my pedals while they still work!

I just got my DFP 4 days ago for $109US with shipping I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm still experimenting with which degrees of rotation i prefer though, and i auto-clutch, because using a button as a clutch would be even harder than using a real clutch IMO (esp in the middle of turns when you're in the middle of turning the wheel)

dont be fooled by the looks!
the wheel is made of Soft Rubber (feels so good).
ForceFeed back is strong, well, too strong (i play at 15% only, 100% it's nuts!)
The pedals, well... plastic :\
the brakes pedal is harder to push and the Accelerator is soft (just like my car pedals)

270º rotation only :\
i never tried a 900º wheel, so i dont know what i am loosing...

Thrustmaster F1 FFB and DFP.

I had to fix the pedals of the Thrustmaster but the wheel itself is of really good quality. Especially the FFB. If i´ll ever get one of those expensive 3 pedal sets or build one myself i´ll use the wheel again. Great for F1 and GT cars.

I got the DFP a few days ago and the 900 ° mode is sooo much fun. The wheel feels and looks great

I got one a few months ago- it seems if you get the new Rev. B00 (that is B zero,zero) You get Metal POTS! Mine has metal pots and it is SO much better than my Momo racing wheels.. Pedals are so damn smooth.. Perfect. I beat the hell out of them and they never flinch. If you get a Rev. B00, you should have good luck. (says the rev.# on the manual's plastic bag)

looks like i don't have to worry now! i'm still gonna make a pedal-box contraption to kick the hell out of instead of the plastic ones supplied!

the only DFP i found in logitech website is for PS2..... is that the one you guys use in the pc??

Yes, it works just fine with the new drivers... Although there may be some small problems with initial use, just search the RSC forums and the logitech forums... All the answers are there.
