is there anyway we can modify the hud so it just shows the rev counter?

i dont wanna look at my speed just bothered about the revs, is this at all possible?

yea i know i thought that after i posted it.. but more ppl look in here and it can always be moved.

i find i am always slower or mess up on the next corner if i look at my speed.

all i need to see are my revs, i dont need to know what speed im doing, obviously this is an option you can turn on and off.

maybe my layout isnt the best but i also find that left and right moving red square annoying to look at.

Haven't you guys ever heard of the virtual clocks option? If you're bothered by seeing your speed, set it to analog instead of digital. That way you're not bothered by a difference of a few mph/kmh.

Of course, one might wonder why you want to use wheels view in the first place when it's not terribly realistic... unless of course your computer is so bad that you get a huge boost in framerate from using it.

Oh yeah, and that tach you have drawn screams NFS to me.

it was an example, thats all... just to give a visual representation to my idea.

i have to use the wheel view because i get rubbish frames in cockpit

righty ... that is a feasable suggestion as some people may like o have the view you have suggested, !BUT! little things such as above will probably be implemented when S2 is nearing Final builds, when scawen starts taking more (easier+smaller) ideas and quickly adding them

I'd like to be able to have f9 tyre view also show the fuel and rev counter, and the position chart might be nice too so I could get all the important information on one screen. I dont really care about any other guages except when I need to check them - like pressing f10 after an accident.

could someone more this into improvement section please?

I would love to get rid of the pointless 'steering' display, myself. I've got a wheel in front of me, I know how far I've turned it...

Probably a good idea to have increased customizing options, but, in the meantime.....can you just not look at your speed ? Or is it like a big red button that says 'don't push me' ?

I don't like to create threads so I'll just drop my suggestion here:
It would be nice to have an option where you can decide where the penalties should appear (a. like now b. below laptime in top right) because it distracts me

Agreed, a simple toggle ON/OFF for each of the gauges/displays would be nice
