You can open .dds files in photoshop or paint shop pro using the nvidia tools dds plugin (google it, because I cant be arse )

I think you missed his point, he wants personal interior textures to be visible in-game like individual skins are.

Ohhh....like other people seeing them?...........why would you want that?

Maybe from the point of view of selecting different interiors easily, like skins, I can see the point.

Maybe a good idea would be to use a board on the dash for the race cars to put the racing number there. You'd need some pixels from the skin and map them there. This would be good for broadcasting leagues so people (and the boradcaster) would know who they are riding with from the inside of the car.

I was going to suggest the same kinda thing. For all cars too, because quite often in more stock-based series the drivers have some signage on their dashboards, too. This would just be a simple block mapped to the car's skin, and not to the interior texture.

+1 for doing it this way, -1 for a complete new jpg texture for the interior. (too much to download on the fly imho)
I hadn't thought of that method, MAGGOT. You mean just a clear space on the regular skin file that gets mapped inside the car? I like it.

Of course if it was to be a seperate image, they would also have to give the option to not automatically download interiors as well.
