The online racing simulator
just another top gear "inspired" challenge, think again....
this is the ultimate task for a begginer, noob (or n00b) or rookie, the task that seperates the WR holders...from well....us...

Master the LX6 in just twelve hours...oh yes you heard correct 12 hours
it will take courage, skill, and determination to tame the untamable, the most feared car in LFS simply cos it just has soo much power coming out those rear tyres that every corner could be the last... and usually is,

for me im starting now...im goin from sunset to sunrise on BL GP in the LX6, and by the end i hope to return, faster, in control, and above all ready to take on any other car with full knowledge that i tamed the LX6

so join if you will at the end of your 12 hours (doesnt have to be straight 12 hours can be done in segments) post a replay of you in control of the beast...if an accomplished driver could set a lap time too beat (obviously not WR cos that will take more than 12 hours to get to) then that will be a great help

thankyou and good luck to those who try to break the unbreakable

I didn't know the LX6 was hard to drive...it's even very easy to catch (or hold, if you're a drifter) a slide in it... Can't wait for my G25 to arrive, I want to drive it with the H-shifter :hyper:

edit: oh yeah, I may give it a go tomorrow
Hm, I think, 12 hours sounds less than it actually is. If you drive a car for 12 hours, you should be able to control it very well after this time, I guess.

/me :slap: SuperMassive for calling the best handling car in LfS an untamable beast...

Seriously, get a good and stable set, be smooth with your throttle input and this baby will blow your mind... It corners so beautifully, and it's just such a huge fun to drive it around... I just adore it endlessly... If you want something really challenging, get to grips with the RAC...
All the cars handle nicely in LFS. And the LX6 isn't too hard to drive at all (on tarmac anyway). LX6 rallycross is more of a challenge, that'll get your throttle contol well practised.

Hmm....any particular track you want? Could try and do a lap for you (should be quick, but not unbeatable....only just got a wheel again, after 6-7 weeks of keyboard. So not full pace)

I reckon the RAC is wilder, maybe its just me but I was practicing with the RAC, LX4 and 6 yesterday around BL1 after 34 laps I got a 1:26.65 with the LX6 using default set. 7 seconds from the WR, but still a good achievement I thought, especially default set. With some tweaking I'm sure the time could be cut and with 12 hours thats a lot of tweaking and laps for practice.

blackwood standard please ... and i find the RAC way to fruastrating to drive so i went for the LX6 which is an untamable beast...slap me all you want , its still untamable to us rookies

You call that a challenge?? Look at THIS

Dave, this challenge is meant for rookies. Your challenge attracts aliens . But tbh I can't see how this could work as a competition.

its not a competition its a goal for us rookies to acheive hence i want some experienced racer to set an achievable goal.... its meant to be fun aswell as learning...not just going round the track swearing when you spin, theres somthin to aim for a target that when you know you beat you could (if your feeling really brave) try daves challenge altho even after 12 hours of LX6 i still wouldnt be comfortable enough to try that yet...this challenge is to help people improve, and therefore not get abuse and stuff in servers and you never know maybe win one or two races (especiallyin the LX6 lol)
I finally drove this car for the first time, and somehow managed to pull a 1:24.26 out of the hat with the stock set. I have to say that this vehicle is an absolute BLAST to drive, one of the more lively cars in the game. I'm going to definately try to drive it as often as I can from now on.

1:22.18? Damn man... Aight, I'll try the Race_S setup then, see what I can do.
I think a good target to beat would be 1:22. If that's too easy, then 1:21
*goes back to wr attempt....1:20.04 and still improving*

but with race_s
Doesn't say race_s anywhere in the OP
lol
a "better" set doesnt really help me much im only able to rip off 1 sec but thats it....my poor skills
so whats up guys? any success yet?
