LOL @ You guy's with the B-tooth on your head!
What do you think of this whole little flashing LED bluetooth thing stuck
on the side of peoples heads in their cars?
I think you guy's look like morons, and also don't think this little piece of girly,
fashion handbag accesory is not going to be around for too long as the only
people wearing them seem to be men aged between 30 and 60 who think it's "in" at the moment.
I don't know about you guy's but I'd feel like and look like a twat going around like I thought I was in an episode of Star-Trek or something lmfao!!!
i dont see a problem with them (and no i dont have one).
it's better than getting pulled over by the fluff and getting points and a fine.
Until you have to talk to someone on the phone whilst driving, you won't appreciate the little bluetooth tusks everyone seems to have. I will admit that they are pretty shit looking though.

The alternative is that you install a decent stereo and a bluetooth kit in the car. Like me. Then you just look like a nutter talking to yourself instead.
Well, atleast it allows them to use both of their hands when driving instead of fiddling around with the phone - although they're still minding their conversation on the cellphone which remains a dangerous thing to do...

If it's aesthetics you're only referring to, then I'm sure there are "normal" looking headsets out there.

Ok, your phone rings, you quickly press the loud speaker function and throw it where the clocks are on your dash!!! Whats the big deal???
Fashon I guess
@ Xaotik NO not about the way they look, about them being for girls handbags lmao!!!
In the car? fine, but when you see the twats walking round Tesco's or whatever with them on, I think.........WHAT A TIT.

Dan,
Where's the "I couldn't give less of a shit if I tried" option?

It's the 21st century and these things have been around for a few years now. I hardly even look twice when I see someone with one. I got one free with my phone but I don't use it because I don't need to.

Go eat some cheese or something
I hate them, absolutely HATE THEM. I really want to rip them off people's ears just because they cause so much confusion.

One friend of mine has one, and I just cannot stand that thing. You would be talking to him in person and then all of a sudden he just starts talking and you think he is talking to you because he doesn't say he has a call. He doesn't even need to press the button on the earpiece to answer, he can press a button on his phone, which you don't always see because his hand is over or inside his side pocket.

But when they just start talking and get numerous calls, the fact that you are talking without holding something to your ear is just not what we all know as "talking on the phone". Sure people like to be hands-free, but for one, you look like a dork with one on, and second, you are a gadget freak.

I'm the kind of person that just likes to have the candybar or clamshell phone, and talks with it up against my head. No need for fancy Bluetooth gadgets/toys. It makes conversations with people on the phone worse too, since they can be too busy doing other things with two hands, and not focus on talking with you on the phone. The same thing with my example in the beginning, when you can talk to one of them in person, and then they completely interrupt and start talking without even making a gesture that they are answering their phone because you do not hear the phone ring -- it rings in their ear which you do not hear :banghead:

Arghhh I despise those earpieces.

A lot of phones have crap speaker phones. For instance, my works iMate Jam-in is utter bollocks. Great as a PDA though.

Plus you have to manually turn down the stereo, where as with a bluetooth enabled kit you press the button, the radio turns down and their voice emits from the speakers.

No thanks m8, les not fill this thread with cheese hey?
@ Danowat; jesus I didn't even wanna give those tit's the liberty of being talked about: Yes they are the ultimate tit's!
@ the Angry Angel: jesus m8 , whats the story with your language this morning! calm ddown...

Heh...
Well, having it permanently in their ear is goofy indeed. However, there's the health consideration when using a headset - bluetooth headsets have far weaker signal output and work in (so far documented as) harmless frequencies as compared to a cellphone.
But yeah, in many cases the usage is based on a fad or considered a status symbol. Like I saw some lifestyle ad somewhere (magazine? poster? I forget) about "trendy" pants which have a "comfortable and visible" cellphone pocket - so you can show off your fancy cellphone...

:o No coffeee yet this morning If you ever meet me in real life, you'll discover I swear like a trooper though, and I'm certainly getting worse! I'll have to try a bit harder not to

Yeah! WE ARE THE BORG WITH BLUETOOTH ON OUR HEADS"
They think that they are collective as one it seems lmfao!!!
i have one (lol) but i don't use it for my phone. i have a blue tooth dongle (try asking staff in your local elictric shop for one of those and you will see some cunfussed faces lol) i use both for things like teamspeak (ts in your ear, lfs in you speakers) which i am always on (about 9 hours a day lol).i found that i can even walk downstairs and make a cup of tea without taking it out of my ear (face). although i would never go out in public and wear it (no point, as i don't drive). they are good for some things, but to wear as a fashion accessory is balls imo. they hurt your ear after more than 5 mins.

lol 9 hours a day on LFS really?
And your ear would hurt a lot more if Tweaker got a hold of you

Yeah i tried that, i put my phone where my speedo is and it scratched the sh1t out of my dial screen....
i agree about the people who wear it going to Tesco or something... thats just funny!

In an apartment i was living in a year ago i could only get coverage on my phone if i sat it face down on the very left my window sill.
I used the free bluetooth thing then that your on about to talk on the phone, as i could go and sit on the sofa then and not have to stand on my head on the window sill
I'd get one if I:
a) talked more on the phone.
b) drove more car.

But atm I drive very rarely (at least long trips) and if I do, I get called very rarely at the same time. But if there was need for hands free, then definately BT-accessory (with or without leds) rather than:
a) use wires that would choke me some day, or atleast tie my hands and cause a crash.
b) turn on the loudspeaker and let my girlfriend on the passenger seat hear how my best mate says she's an idiot.
If you talk a lot or drive a car why not, but if you wear it all the time and go shopping, or something similar, with it then it's a bit silly. It might also be usefull for someone at work if you have to use the phone and can do stuff with your hands at the same time. Why not, just make sure it's Nokia

not 9 hours a day on lfs. about 9 hours a day on teamspeak. playing games like operation flashpoint. pro evo soccer 5 (and 6 soon), swat 4, battlefield 2 (and 1942) toca race driver 3 (i know it's shat) and basically having a laugh with my clan mates.

Yeah ever wondered why when you walk into fairly old house/apartment and you et no signal???
Lead based paint that they used over the years! You would have more chance getting a signal in a fallout bunker
Edit: can noone do that favour I asked 4???

I've never even seen what you're talking about. Maybe the fashion hasn't hit Istanbul yet- which is strange because everyone here is a total phone junky...
i got a bluetooth headset with my new laptop that has a bluetooth interface. So lately I was checking out if i could hook the bluetooth headset to my laptop and use it with skype. And yeah that works. In fact, with an additional plugin for skype, the bluetooth headset can even control skype's call answering / hangup and 1 speeddial.
This works so great that I've even put some money on my skype account to make calls using this. International calls are cheaper than my ISP's voip service - why didn't I use this before!

and back to the topic - I like these bluetooth gagdgets
