NFS: CARBON - The easiest game i ever played
Thought id post this up lmfao. I bought carbon on Friday (the day it was released on 360 in the UK) and completed it on Saturday night. It is soooo easy, and i was quite dissapointed it ended so quick. I had a total playing time of about 6 hours lol.

Tested demo as I was looking something that I could play on sofa, but no, I could not finish that demo track when my blood pressure was already too high, what it is with it that if you stop, opponents stop and when you go fast opponents go fast, also car sounds are quite loosely based what is going on screen and car does not act even remotely like a car, but is more like some thing...

Sounds were quite bad too and graphics were some reason very blurry when car did move, weird

No, I still play Insane over NFS, if I need to race something from sofa. Too bad there is no beat em up games, last good one is virtua fighter 2 and telling the truth, it is rather weared out already. Virtua Tennis is still best sofa game for me, but it is quite limited.
6 hours isn't too bad for a console game's single player campaign... 7 hours or so is about average... it's whether or not you want to play it through again that makes games stand out

That was your mistake pal
Why lol? How was buying it on friday a mistake?

Darn, forgot to buy my flametrhower fuel from town, well maybe next time

hmm...tried it - hated it.
mostly because it uses an overloaded old engine which runs really bad at my pc.
And the full version always wants to contact ea, you can't turn it off.

* herki sets mode +b NFS*
I know somebody, who still loves NFS and doesn't even want to try LFS... 0.o
(He's buying NFS soon :/)
@BlakjeKaas: Tell him there's this new NFS game out in which they focused on realism.
i finished career.. now comes all the REALLY hard stuff, i lost about 75% of my cash too, while working on the reward cards fortunately i had enough money to buy an evo with all mods

pure stock.. im more of a sleeper type person, unless i come up with something cool, i seriously love the new vinyl system though so we dont have rice everything anymore.. and the top chops, made a new chop topped charger with a mean body kit.. with duel stripes, its badass
made a cayman that looks like a race car its tight
my shelby is pretty cool.. but.. only so much you can do with it
Yeh, i am pleased they totally killed the rice in the game. No more neons or stupid things. When i build my cars i keep them as low-key as possible, with only a bodykit and maybe a spoiler and some nice rims. No roof scoop or gay hood lol. How do i so the chop tops? Are they in autosculpt? Ive looked everywhere lol, and ive unlocked that guy you need to do them.
the full version wants to contact ea all the time and you can't turn it off? I turned off silent login and it never connects to ea

Graphics are pretty cool max'd out and high res, reflections are crappy on the car but i can live with it

You need to hire him. oh, and it's only available for Muscles.

It was only a joke , no flaming intended:drink:

You know, sometimes it's hard to resist spaming a NFS thread
i just want EA to make an underground 3; i like the serious tuning that we could do in NFSU2 (yes there were some extremely out of line things, but its deffinetly an upgrade) and i LOVE (yes.. that is meant to be present) the actual tuning you can do, rather than the simple sliders, i seriously want that back in the NFS serie
Are there cops in this one? I actually enjoyed Most Wanted because of the cop chases...
yeah they are - i find myself just clicking hot races tho and not actually driving about like i did in most wanted :|
yes! the cop chases

and here comes the better part! your not SCREWED when you run over a spike strip!
you can drive.. not fast, but atleast you can drive.. just hope you heat isn't too high

and beware of spike strips around the breakers, there seems to be a serious bug with that, i have gone over 3 spike strips because my car wen't over them after i hit a breaker (which.. i have no control over so its a ripoff..)
sounds like fun. How big is the world you get to drive in? and do you get the stupid cops in the SUVs that try to ram you head on?
Not head on, but they try to get in front of and stopping you, even if it means some contact. Didn't spot any SUV's but normal squad cars, unmarkeds and road blocks I did see. Not that I saw a lot, wasn't me playing

Did You say !!

I was going to buy this for x360, but dont know if i should now ..
I liked most wanted took ages to play through and stuff ur saying that itsa 6/7 hour long game ...-_-
no only the career will take a short amount of time

which.. actually it takes alot more than 6 hours

it took me a few days.. and im talking about working on it for several hours nonstop you get addicted... but even once your 100% completed with the career, you still have a good 40% more to go to finish the game, and thats where everything gets hard.. like the 12 minute cop chases, 1 million dollar bank account etc. trying to get all the cars

graphics on the 360 are unbeleivable they are just... omg

the SUV cops; those jeep-like things, yes they are back, and sometimes they will try to ram you head on, just .. make sure you see them ahead of time, get as far to the side of the road as you can, hit the NOS, then.. WHAM they hit EVVVVVVerything behind you and its .... amazing lol i love watching the SUV cops doing damage
I went out and brought it Friday too, only 20% or so through the career mode - only spent a few hours with it. Its great fun, pure arcade and thats why I love it. Works great with my G25 too, can use the shifter & 3 pedals fine.

What really impressed me was the online play. The netcode is still lagging behind LFS and the like, but it actually works which is a step up from the last one I tried. Very easy to get into a quick pickup race. Some cool modes as well - when doing a lap knockout once your knocked out you come back as a cop with some big powerful car - maybe the SUV not sure, with the goal of catching the guy in 1st and trying to slow them down. Once the race finishes you can mess around for a couple of mins pounding the guy that won in. Really fun when you win, have to be a bit creative to escape a few big heavy cop cars that have more speed than you.

Love the muscle cars in it, when driving one I spend practically the whole race sliding it around corners. Definitely the most fun type. The autosculpt or whatever its called is pretty cool - maybe a bit overrated but definitely cool to play with for a while. You can make some cars look really good without the ricer crap associated with NFS these days. Cops seem a bit smarter than Most Wanted, not played with them much yet but definitely more fun.

Drifting in it is crap though, sorry there's no way around that. Can't use the wheel with it because it turns off the FF, and something just doesn't feel right about it, even keeping in mind its arcade. I liked drifting in Underground 1 & 2 but they screwed it up in this. Fortunately you can avoid most of it.

Graphics are pretty nice on the PC and runs pretty smooth, feels like there's a permanent frame rate cap though, need to check with fraps.

Overall its a lot better than I was expecting, best NFS since Underground 1 IMO, which is still my fav arcade racer. Well worth the money if you like a break from the seriousness of sim racing once in a while.
