would probably be a lot of fun for 2 players. I think you can plug-in 2 mice (1 USB) for 2 player control. Very beautiful game, nice original vibe, unique controls.. the guy that made it (Mark Healey) has also had a hand in some LFS stuff, going by the credits. And I think Scawen also helped with RDKF.

You can also make your own skins. Here's one I made some time ago..

Wow that FEAR combat thing is generous!!!

I'd feel cheated but I only paid about £15 for FEAR anyway and the single player missions were fun.

EA's (GASP!) NHL series is about the best as far as Hockey games go, AFAIK. I know the '06 variant is a little (term used loosly) arcadeish, but it's still fun. Plus you can create a complete custom team (Several hours of work, however) right down to the players faces and arena graphics and such. Or you could go the easy route and make a team in 5 minutes using the in-game thinger...

Indeed, though I haven't upgraded past '02 as of yet. I remember when I used to play it on my laptop and it has a Celeron 766, somewhat choppy but playable, then I chucked in a PIII 866 and after about 5 minutes playing I turned someones face into jelly and the commentators said "Someone is really making use of that CPU upgraded", that was it for me, I was pissing myself laughing.

If you want something with online play that is awesome, i recommend::

Command&Conquer?

I'm really quite into the new BF2142 demo. The ingame ads malarkey is a bit rich though. I hear there's a way to turn them off?

Mouse is not very useful from sofa as I don't have space for table, hard to find games or am I a 'bit' picky ?

Anyway, gamepad will be controller used for game, so that rules out quite many.

This is quite fun remake of original, but rather limited, would need more moves and more tactical gameplay, that is too straight forward faster button wins as are all pc fighting games.

Pes6 is quite nice too, I'm just not very good at it, but have enjoyed playing demo now
