OK, put in a DVD drive, which means I have two drives. One DVD, one CD. Now I have two problem. Windows won't recognize existing CD drive, and when a CD or DVD is loaded into DVD drive, it freezes Windows TOTALLY. Help please!
If your using one ide cable Afik dvd, cd drives work pretty much the same as your hard drive(master and slave) settings.
There should be a series of pins at the rear of the drives that need to be shorted with the supplied little square plastic connectors.
Most of the time instructions as to which pins to put the connector on is written on the drive itself.
