0.50 (or lower because its at 0.50 by default I think) if you need it to be that exact, faster help us out here!

I dunno what settings are in U30 but not in U so just trying lowering what you can see.
faster,

Another fairly easy way to get more fps is to change the view.

Try changing the view from in-car to external - you know, the one where you only see the front wheels of your car?

It may not look as nice but try it anyway to see if it smooths things out at all.

It should help because your graphics card no longer has to draw the insides of your car and can put more effort into smoothing out the track and the scenery.

Let us know how you get on .

Faster , Turn on the FPS(frames per second) meter this will give you a number in top corner of the screen when playing LFS then when trying some of the tips given above you will be able to see if it improves and by how much

Run LFS and select
Options / Display / Show frame rate (off) (left) (Right) choose left or right and let us know what sort of FPS you are getting when you use your Mums BFs PC both online and offline, if it is low (under 15) Then you and we will be able to tell if you have "lag" or not Low FPS is not and does not cause lag they are completly different things

Let us know here the FPS numbers with lots of other cars and when you are alone on track.

96?????? Thats bloody high - you should only be able to see jumping at 30 or below.

Does the same happen in single player?

OK thats a good FPS rate anything over 30-40 is well playable,
have you tried asking the other PC users in the house to shutdown their PCs for a few minuites,(or just dissconnect from the wireless network) so you can see if its the PC that you are using causing the connection to lagg.
If when the others are shut down all is better then I would think some P2P program (even when closed) is accessing the net from another PC and hogging the bandwith ,
if there is no difference with only the PC with the problem up and running, then it could point to a number of things ,like interference messing with the wireless conn or some processes accessing the net from the same machine. but would give you a place to start from and help to diagnose the prob quicker

it ISN'T lag, if the whole picture is jumpy, then it is your PC - if it doesn't this in Single player with lots of AI, and you get 95 fps online, then its a known issue in LFS, although i can't remember the fix
