Anyone having any issues with MSN? For the past couple of hours, I've had an issue with MSN (using Live Messenger, Gaim or even various web-based services)... I can connect, add/remove buddies, update my name/status, etc. but no-one can see any messages I send... they all get returned with a "could not send this message" error (or similar, such as "a connection error occurred"), etc.

Anyone else having similar issues? If not, any ideas on how to fix this? I've reinstalled both Live Messenger and Gaim, but to no avail.

Cheers for that Jakg, I'd been to a few of my usual "OH NOES, MSN HAS SCREWED UPZ!" websites, but hadn't thought of looking at Mess.be.

MSN hasn't been working for me, either. But thankfully I can live without it for an evening.

my msn was like that but its ok now.

Had the same prob today too...

Mines still cocked. Although seeing people sign in and out is fine, its just any form of communication.

All fine here for me, you weird people. Ive been on it since about 4 ish and no problems.

msn is too slow for me nowadays maybe there is techinal problems

my suggestion is to download 7.5 its a whole lot safer and more stable than live, as Live is still virtually in its beta stages, i also had the problem with not being able to add or remove anyone (and a couple of days after install my whole list actually disappeared) install messenger 7.5 and should be ok. I never ever use yahoo as it downloads alot of crap you dont need along with it, and i had endless amounts of crashes with it.

Best way to avoid MSN problems is not to use it to start with

Is was irrelevant as to what version was being used, as I was using Gaim, and merely tried Live! and a few web messenger programs for testing purposes, to ensure that it wasn't - indeed - a software problem

i dont agree with you my dear dude.

why? 7.5 is a whole lot better than live, downloaded live, hated it, will always stick to 7.5, and yahoo is crap on my computer. seems i cant even get my hotmail "server too busy" crap keeps coming up..

Dont think Live is beta any more, doesnt stop it being crap though. Live mail was the worst, twas a mission trying to just get to your damn emails.

I don't like MSN after v6.0, I've switched to Trillian now.

Have you considered using something somewhat more stable? IRC for instance

It wasn't our primary means of communication, more a means of ensuring we're all available for a meeting We're actually using Skype for the meetings themselves
