The car looks so strange in that pic. Almost like a magazine photo was placed onto a real photo, with fake cardboard trees, and then scanned in to the computer.
A perfect example of a driving game that became a screenshot generator.
On the same note, some photographers are here RIGHT NOW taking pictures of our Stratos for Project Gotham Ricing 4. They're merrily taking pictures of anything and everything, but show no interest in driving it (wouldn't let them anyway ) or looking at the greasy bits.
Damnit, whenever I see pics of the ring in GT4 I wanna play it. Shame I can't play it for more than 30 mins here and there till I get bored and play LFS instead. Some very nice pics btw, shame the game doesn't actually look like that
[SPOILER]you know, if you go into special events(next to rally courses) and do Rali de Capri you win a +250000 credit car. If you keep doing this it is rather easy to obtain high quality cars.[/endspoiler]
I love the scrrenshot generator thing in the game, it is rather fun to take pictures. But i also find it a bit to easy to do.
hell if GT had a damage model we'd be screwed! it'd be like in Racer when you crash and you cause the game to lock up and your car goes flying off a map probably..
i guess some car manufacturers wouldn't want to see their car turn into the Enterprise then
i did see something on the tilting limit in the air though.. but that was so long ago i can't remember what exactly it said
I've heard too and it's called marketing bullsh*t.
Polyphony is blaming car manufacturers for not allowing damage cars, I'm pretty sure they do allow to even blow up the car with a dynamite once Sony pays them well enough.
well.. lets also take into account why gt4 is what it is; and its not because the creator, because the creator said he wanted a realistic driving simulator.. instead, he gets something that the market wants.. an arcade game everyone can enjoy
and yes thats the truth; the creator of GT4 really did want it to be a simulator
thats what sucks about business; its what looks right in polyphony's eyes.. and that is whatever it takes to get the most amount of income; if they turned it into a simulator i bet it wouldn't get a quarter income it does now
