Me gots some bad luck. I had no idea WinRAR expired until it told me, i deleted the file for it but it still won't go away. And i keep getting messages that in under a week i am going to be fined. How can i get rid of it? Also, i need some free RAR file system now. I had an old one but i forget what happened to it. Please Help!

WinAce will open WinRAR files, but not create them. It is also a 30 day trial version but carries on working after it has expired. The interface will pester you but I always use the shell integration anyway.

WinRAR continues to work after it expires too, I've used it forever and no one has come knocking on my door. I just use the shell interface and never see the message anyway.

Try 7-zip File Manager. As far as I know, it does everything that WinRAR does, and maybe a little more, and it's free. Hope this helps!

7zip won't create RAR files (it does read them). Which is a shame. Although it will create split archives of just about any other file format though

sorry to bump this. But the message telling mew to buy it disappeared, and now it says (12 days to buy a license) on the top of every RAR file i open. How the hell do i get rid of it? I delete the WINRAR file and everything still opens with it. HOW?

edit: i got all but one file out, it says i can't because it's in use. But it isn't. Any reason for this?
