I don't think it's something as simple as modem problems... like I said it seems like something much more general and on a larger scale.

Maybe it's time for a spin-off for this issue? Don't wanna spoil this thread with more internet and modem/router info .

I was having REAL troubles staying connected to servers. It got to the point that I didn't even TRY to race LFS. It took me 3-4 months to figure it out.

Every time I tried to connect.....IF I could connect.....I could spectate for about 2-5 minutes, then lag out.

I turned my colors from 32 bit to 16 bit and my problem went away. I tried everything from ISP, to virus software, to reloading LFS!!!!

32 bit to 16 bit was the answer. It even kept me from connecting to the master server and receiving track info.......

It works fine for me in 32 bit mode.
