Msconfig problem.
I'm having performance problems on Call of Duty + Call of Duty United Offensive. So a gamer recommended to run "Msconfig" and try and disable *stop* some of the applications that may be causing to run the games a little jittery. It runs fine on COD 2, just on those two games.

Unfortunately, it kinda backfired on me. And a majority of the drivers have "stopped" Hence pic 1:

Now the pc still works, but as you can see the windows look like its in safe mode, iinstead of its xp windows. And a majority of the programs have stopped, and that includes audio. *winamp program claims that there isnt a sound card installed* But because of the outcome, it prevents me from playing games, or listen or watch clips *depending what file they are*

I tried loading it all up, as if nothing happened, but unfortunately, there is no change whatsoever, and I am stuck in this position at the moment.

Can anyone assist on how I can fix this wee problem?

Thanks

"Themes" - Enable it and it wont look like Windows 98!

"Windows Audio" might be disabled?

Have a look again. A majority of the applications have "stopped" and the only way to get things back to normal. and the "theme" is to get them running again, and I can't seem to find the option for that.
Start > Run > services.msc
Find the services and simply "start" them again.
