Anyone used 49pence? They certainly offer a lot, for not much. I can't seem to find anyone thats actually used them though (I dont want to end up with another poundhost fiasco)

i rememmber hearing Sam talking about them for the UKCT servers - either they are hosted by them, or they are considering moving to them

I had the feeling Sam used them / may have used them as well, but I honestly couldn't remember.

Yes, UKCT just moved to them. They're in a brand new datacentre near Heathrow so currently their pipe is under used, which is handy. The STCC servers currently reside there, and they're no better nor worse than before really. I know the UKCT team investigated lots of companies before plumping for 49pence, and researched various hosts as thoroughly as they could, so from that point of view it all looks good.

If it's just web hosting you are after I think you can get more bandwidth/storage for less, but if it's a dedicated server, the fact that UKCT plumped for them (when you consider it takes 40 people to agree to anything) says a lot. Although that's not a thumbs up, because they've only recently made the switch and I cannot speak on their behalf.
