Could someone explain what to set the Max Guest etc to...
Max Guests = 18
Max Real + A1 in race = 5
Max Real + A1 per guest PC = 2
Max Real + A1 on Host PC = 1
Smoothness (packets per second) = 4
This is what i have it set at, , Which line dertermins how many people can race,
I has top line set to 20, and next one set at 5, but peolpe said i was FULL. ??
AFAIK they're still supporting NT4, if you think about it, they kinda have to. Think how many businesses still run NT servers. In an office environment, if a computer does it's job and doesn't need to be changed, it doesn't get upgraded.
Max Guests = 18 (how many people can be on the server)
Max Real + A1 in race = 5 (how many people can race on the server -> if your server is full(means 18 racers on it), only 5 of them can drive)
Max Real + A1 per guest PC = 2 (how man cars can be "controlled" from one guest.)
Max Real + A1 on Host PC = 1 (same for the host, if it's not a dedicated)
Smoothness (packets per second) = 4
There is a difference between "full server" and "full race".
Usually you should set the same value for both "max guests" and "max in race", unless you want to keep some spectator slots.
Note that guest means "someone who is on the server" can be either spectating or racing.
Then you will have 12 guys on the server, 8 racing, 4 spectating.
