The first few crashes in that vid make me wonder if something was wrong with the pacenotes--the drivers on that corner didn't even appear to be attempting to brake until it was too late.

Old turbo Sierra RWD doing rally.. on board, TV cam etc.. Thats quite a ride!

Looks like the driver has no throttle control ability at all. Throws the car into a corner and just stabs the throttle. Looks nice but I'm not sure how the car and the tires take it...

Yep, it is. I'd love to see some onboard footage from that car.
Someone send Scawen the link. That's how cars are supposed to sound like.

By the way, did you notice how the driver kept destabilzing the car through constant oscillating steering movements before corners? He propably tried to induce slight oversteer to get it around the corners better on the tarmac.
(Which I can understand, the E30 does tend to lean into understeer because it's engine is in the wrong place, the front. )

Here is a video of Sabine Schmitz doing the opening and first lap in a long distance event in late 2005 with a Porsche 997 Cup in the wet. It's very slippery, especially with such a powerful car. Great driving.
The gray Porsche in front of her is the Alzen Porsche "Turbinchen" with about 700hp, about 300 more than her car.
