Trackah123's oldskool amiga lfs-intro
hi guys

i was bored so i was messing with all kind of amiga stuff emulators programs..
then on google i found this oldskool demomaker there are a few bugs in the program but you can really create nice stuff with it

i created this amigastyle intro for liveforspeed with a skidrow chiptune in it
download the zip file below (contains .exe file and i can assure you no virus its clean)

when you see the setup screen select the following resolution (640x480 and low quality) .. somehow without low-quality checked it runs very slow.. then click on start and enjoy

http://rapidshare.com/files/6761712/LFS-Intro.zip.html

if you want to create your own demos go to this forum and download oldskool demomaker there.. its pretty funny

Excellent find, I used to play around with the Red Sector Demomaker back in the day.

God, that takes me back a bit, had a demomaker like that too, awww man, i'm gonna have to get the old beast out again!!!

The amiga that is
yes indeed .. i used red sector demomaker as well in the past..

funny thing is.. this wednesday im getting my amiga 500 back from my neighbour.. i sold it to him 8 - 10 years ago.. and he still has it.. still working and complete.. so im buying it back its only a "bit" dusty and bit yellowish :P

also considering to buy an amiga 1200 again from someone.. 500 and 1200 those were the best.. OCS/ECS/AGA chipsets.. motorola 68000 - 68040 cpu's and kickstart roms nothing beats a good old workbench lol

you gotta love the crunchy floppy drive loading sounds illepall
:ices_rofl, yup, it got a bit worrying sometimes when u heard the crunching going on inside the disk drive. I still have my A500 and A1200, but I remember trying workbench a couple of years back, heh heh it felt really backwards, used to think it was better than windows too lol
back in that time i think ms had early version of windows 3.11?

anyway amiga was way ahead of its time compared to pc back in those days.

sometimes i do think what if the commodore company still existed today.. we would have amiga 8800 with a 98060 cpu and kickstart 30.1 :P workbench 2007 with a superduper AGAVIDIA card
The UAE emulator is damn good. Actually it is many ways better than the real thing. I run WinUAE with WB3.0 HD install with Picasso GFX card emu. Can get 1280x1024 with 32bit colors. So no wonder it looks now much better than in my old Amiga... and runs fast too.

Here's a pic

Awesome work there.. brings back lots of good memories
That just reminds me... I still have a lot of those 64K / 4K demos on my hd - just amazing how much graphics you can get in that little space
Very good now we need a c64 one
I'm so happy lol.. i got a real amiga 500 and amiga 1200.
with a special transferkit i can put all of my adf images from PC back onto amiga floppy disks

Great, I did it the other way.
Transfered all my noisetracker, protracker, octalyzer etc. mods from HD and Floppy and thousands of samples from the good old times to my PC some years ago (man that transfer with my selfmade cable took days)
no not mp3, its in .mod format actually but i can convert it to mp3

or use winamp - plays most of the .mod tunes perfectly
@LFSn00b

ha that picture of yours.. Crazy Cars 3 by Titus great game.
it was also called "Lamborghini: American Challenge" -- American Release
When i fired up an old titus game about one year ago, the splash screen had a string of text which im sure wasn't there before

"WOW, MY GAME STILL RUNS IN 2006!"

how cool is that? its f*****n über cool i tells ya.
:o what game is that? i need to try that out in winuae. i have them all so i wanna see that line also
I can't remember. I'll go look.

im sure it was one of these:

Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure, The
Crazy Cars 2 (a.k.a. F40 Pursuit Simulator)
Lamborghini: American Challenge (a.k.a. Crazy Cars 3)
Prehistorik
Prehistorik 2
Super Cauldron
Titus The Fox

These are the only titus titles i recognized: http://www.the-underdogs.info/company.php?id=413
Cool thread! Missed this previously

Red Sector Demo Maker was great, many of hours of fun had from that and OctaMED

Parts of my Amiga days are still here.. still religiously use DOpus (was great to find a windoze port some years back) and it was also the first (albeit very short lived) time I looked into 3D work.. with Lightwave 1.0.. nothing like 3 weeks to render a cube with a single light

Regards,

Ian
Ugh, the problems is to figure out on what platform i got that message.
well, good luck finding it
maybe it wasn't even in a titus game ... Well it was on the Amiga, Atari or PC.

All the best,

pie
