I have a Geforce2 pro card (yes its old) and it worked perfectly fine with S1. I recently wanted to play again and noticed that S2 has been released so I downloaded that. Now my graphics are totally ruined. Is there a site or utility that can help me get the best driver for my existing card? I will get a new card in few weeks, but I want to play this until then. I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance!

I highly doubt that you'll get a playable amount of FPS out of a Geforce2 some how, as it doesn't support HVS - which as of the S2 releases, LFS utilitises.

A quick google throws up 22.80 or 29.42 detonator drivers as the most likely candidates for your graphics card. Finding those drivers might be somewhat... fun though.

There is an additional worry, however. LFS now takes its toll on the processor a lot more than the S1 releases, due to updated physics. So whilst upgrading your graphics card may help, if you've got a processor of the same era, you might struggle to see a significant amount of improvement.

I have an AMD Athlon 1.4GHz. 512 DDR RAM. And S1 used to run really well actually. If the new game is significantly changed, then I guess I'm out of luck until I upgrade. However, I know a decent driver can atleast help me run the game, even with low settings? At first I was seeing only the wheels the two seats and the body of the driver. Could not see tarmac etc. Then I installed Detonator 3 (45.23) drivers and know I cant even see the menu! Then I installed 29.42 as u suggested and S1 is working!!! THANK YOU! Now I will try to download S2 and see if it works at all. You da man!

AFAIK S2 doesnt work well with non-HVS compilant cars. I presume it is becuase of extreme CPU usage and maybe some engine incompatibility with Hardware T&L in GF2 GPU.
You might try update on newest Forceware drivers(93.71 IIRC), but I dont give you much chances.
Yesterday I saw LFS S2U running on overclocked Athlon 2500+/FX 5600 with about 8 cars on the grid and FPS was about 40 average.

If you want to play LFS S2 more seriously, you should consider some decent upgrade. I am sorry, but thats the reality.
