Virtual H-Shifter (Force Feedback Joystick).
I am going to create a virtual shifter out of a Force Feedback Joystick. First of all I need to get a force feedback joystick (ebay i suppose, unless anyone has one in this community in good condition ) (sadly i ownly have a sidewinder joystick which is non force feedback ).

Anyone else use Virtual H-Shifter? What is it like?

Thanks in advance,

James

I tried with an old stick using some app I found on RSC, FFB Shifter possibly. It worked pretty well, but the forces to hold the stick in gear didn't work properly, I put this down to the joystick being an ancient gameport device rather than the newer USB version.

I use a Logitech Force 3D FFB joystick and it works perfectly. It's just not quite competitive because you loose 2 tenths a lap or somrthing along those lines.
