I couldn`t find many replacement wheels for the FOX or FO8, so I knocked these up pretty quickly. The FOX wheel is probably a MOMO model 12c, The FO8 one looks most like a 27c, so that`s what I based them on.
Use them, ignore them, or suggest improvements and I`ll see what I can do.
I like the darker grips, but the brushed aluminum doesn't look too realistic. I'd suggest having a look at some pics of the real deal again and strying to replicate the lighting on those areas. While having the whole surface in pretty much the same light may be more correct, it does not look very good imho.
Cheers maggot. I just quickly thrashed them out, as I`d rather have "real" than "fake" onscreen. Just a personal thing I suppose. I nailed the look of the online pics I could find, but the pics were pretty low res, or had bad lighting, and given that LFS is still in dev, so the models, etc, ain`t finished, I wasn`t expecting miracles. I just thought I`d hand out what I had, as there aren`t many (if any at all) FOX or FO8 wheel mods out just now. (I`d still rather look at these as they are, in-game, than the "volante" ones...)
If anyone has any more suggestions, detailed (close up, well lit, or actually has access to one in their own car) pics of the 12c or 27c models, or any of the glesga racers round here (and I know there`s loads of them) can point me to a local spares shop that stocks them, post yer stuff here, and I`ll work on it.
If not, or if anyone wants to play about with the .psd`s and do better in less time than I`ve got to work on them, feel free. Just make sure the final readme or whatever clearly states that it belongs to LFS, the LFS community, or the original game devs.
