Is there something wrong with my driving?
After new sounds and finding out I'm old (Thanks BBT ) I took a spin with LX4 and with default settings, somehow it drives different or is it just my driving, is it so that I'm loosing my hearing AND my driving too?

Wayyy too much sliding...so it's obviously your driving, what did you expect really, what else it could be?

Oh wait, good racing drivers always have excuses, so lets see.
Your too early on the throttle with maybe a bit too much speed into the corners. Get the nose in then slowly ease on the throttle.

Happens now with every car, really can't do much else than slide anymore, lol.

Well, not every car, that XRR or what it was, that wont slide and I don't drive those FWD things

I did try car with less power, but same thing happens still
Can't you hear the tires skidding? The skidding sound is far moer intense and louder in the latest patches, you are getting old then

Oh, tires that was, I thought it was my alternator belt ;D

No really, why I can't stop this happening, all time I try to drive properly but when corner comes it is always shift weight kick throttle and do it sideways, really there have to be cure for me

I have managed to get almost 1/3rd of lap but right when that left hand 180 hairpin comes it is already have to do at least gear lock, can't get online at this pace never again

Same has happened with that r title lately, am I gone to end of race path already?

Well, don't mind the RAC if you can't hadle it because it's horrible especially with the default set, I managed to do about 4 seconds faster on my try though...still horrible

Maybe train on some shorter config, that Aston layout has all the evil chicanes in the world. That 1st one is the hardest chicane in LFS in my opinion, it has some bankings which will throw you off the line and the track if you turn in too late. The last chicane mess is also a nasty one, not even to mention the overall length of the track which makes it hard one to train. You can't tell where did you improve when your time drops, and you forget how you drove the previous lap. So, get a shorter track and drive more than one lap in a row

I don't think it is practising that counts, motivation or something perhaps

I take that as a challenge

3:09's should be easy to do, but no, I often shift one gear too much down, lol. Must try tomorrow after I have slept a bit ei pysty on hapokasta
Hapokasta haha....Got to 3:7.95 with Lx6
RAC is a bastard! Got 5 laps only thou, understeeeeeeeeeerr I hate it.

You are doing it wrong then, downshift but DON'T blip, not even sign from that evil understeer
It starts to understeer when I try too much but sometimes it's fine maybe the habit of blipping the throttle as you said.

You can lure car to turn in much better if you delay downshift really late and do it without blipping, rear kind of nudges and right then if you push more throttle you are in oversteering mode, however usually I tend to overdo this, just a tiny bit

I have put my venture to RAC goodness on hold for a while, I got lot of inspiration recently to try do better laps and I started with one I enjoy almost most in LFS BL GP and XRG.
I'm still stuck, would need 1 second off from my time.

I did test also setups from Inferno, which all were quite unrealistic and rather funny actually, anyway I drive around same times with them, bit slower, however with my own setup I can do 30laps of low 1:35 times and with Inferno's setups after 5 laps tires are already melting.

I know that my set has bit of turn in understeer, but that is rather easy to overcome by taking entry bit harshly, somehow I don't believe that it is only setup that is trouble, I think it is more like my driving, it is not too often that I get all corners right in one lap, usually there is atleast some errors.

What is your opinion, should I change setup or driving now?
