i tried to get a friend to drive LfS, so i gave him a CD and copied S2 onto it (from fresh download and not damaged, since the CD was working on 2 other systems)

he copied the LFS folder onto his system (which should be able tu run LfS without a problem - athlon 2600+, 512 MB, GeForce4200) but LfS doesn't load up properly

he sent me the text of the deb.log but i can't figure put how to read out the error there. maybe some of you guys have an idea here

here's his deb.log:

we found the solution - although it doesn't sound logical to me

the wheel he uses has a broken cable or some other sort of defect and this prevents LfS from loading up

as soon as he unplugs the wheel, LfS starts again, as soon as he plugs it in, he can't start LfS anymore

so if anyone of you encounters a similar problem, try unplugging your controllers - it might help
