Installed Black Line ? I really have no idea either
is it I'm a Bloody Loser who posts too much?

My guess is IBL = Instance Based Learning alogrithm

With the combination of TC and IBL I can only assume he is requesting better AI How's that for detective work?

And if thats what he is asking I say +1 to the idea
I think what he means by IBL now, is .... Best line, sorta of what Kejeckytsttstys Ghost Car does.

If thats what he is asking then -1 we've already got more than enough aids - we can view, analyse and compare replays so no need to have best line and the cars that might need TC already have it why would you need TC in the road cars

Please, no TC on any more cars! I think it should be removed from the FZ5 too. Who really needs TC on that car?

Real 911's have TC.
i say all "newer" LFS model cars should have TC (meaning.. the UF1k wont have it.. LX's ..maybe, but i dont think they should)
RB4 should have it

hell all of them should if the first cars to have what was considered traction control was in the early 70's
From LiveForSpeed.net:

"LFS S2 is a serious racing simulator. No arcade modes, no steering aids - YOU have to do the driving."

nothing more to say
yea and who said that?

as far back as i can remember the LFS dev team has always wanted LFS to be as realistic as possible... TC is real isn't it?
so why not?
if you dont want it.. dont use it, but it surely will welcome alot more people into the driving world

Yep, but remember some of those things exist in real life. There'd be a few raised eyebrows if the BF1 had no TC. And, for example, I wouldn't be too taken aback if a version of the FZR had ABS (they would simply have to say they were simulating the 996 GT3 cup series car).

Why not? I'll tell you: FWD and AWD cars don't have TC (why should they?) and as for the RWD's:
XR = Starion - didn't have as it wasn't a high-priced car
LX = Caterham - those are bloody KIT CARS!
RAC - I don't know about that but I think not

That leaves the FZ (Porsche/bit Ferrari) and the race cars... The FZ got one and the race cars could get one, although, most racing leagues don't allow TC, so the race cars in LfS haven't got one...

So I'd say it IS pretty realistic as it is now...
who says the XR is a starion, and an LX is a caterham?

common we dont need to compare them to their real world counterparts, they are fictional! they could have rocket boosters on them quite frankly

dont AWD cars usually have a passive traction control system though?
All cars do - it's called the loud pedal. Quite a lot of econoboxes have TC because most people have no feeling in their right foot. Anything on a race track with TC isn't a proper car (and yes, I include the F1 cars in this).

You sound like one of those GPLer trolls on RSC that at every oppertunity F1 should have bicycle tyres, no downforce and no electronics.

+1 for TCS in all cars that would have it in real life.

Yes, wings are for airplanes only, not for cars, and TC is good as long as I can turn it off and host a server which won't allow TC to be turned on
I've got nothing against big fat tyres (they don't make it easier for the drivers), downforce (doesn't make it easier for the drivers), but I do have a problem with a lot of electronics (which do make it easier for drivers).

Next you'll want stability control in all cars ever, then no drivers because they slow the car down. Personally, I want motorsport to be about the drivers primarily, and the cars secondarily.

Go to motorcycle racing
Ah, I do enjoy a bit of bike racing, but somehow I still prefer the four wheeled variety. But then, motorbikes are getting more and more electronics too, so I can't win!
you can always go to legend racing

those are cool to watch, a friend of my dad does it, actually several of my dad's friends do
Is that when everyone races the ends of their legs?

Sorry, I have no idea what Legend Racing is... It's not a very descriptive name...
they race legend cars....

you of all people tristan should know what legend racing is!

oooh... now i see what hte problem is, it has a different name than i remembered.. legends racing is totally different lol

im sure they have them in europe, but Vintage Racing is what i was thinking of
OH Vintage racing... Yeah, we don't call vintage cars Legends.

Having said that a lot of people think any old car is a Classic car, forgetting that it has to be a Classic first. E.g. most English old cars - old yes, Classic no!

Some vintage racing is awesome. Depending on what constitutes vintage racing, I'd love a play in a D50
